CHANNING TATUM IS "EVEL KNIEVEL"! RUSSELL CROWE'S DRACULA FILM "HARKER" TO BE HELMED BY ELI ROTH? LOVELY TRAILER FOR "HELLO I MUST BE GOING" WITH MELANIE LYNSKEY & BLYTHE DANNER

Definitely the breakthrough star of the year, Channing Tatum, who scored huge success this year with amazing cinematic hits THE VOW, MAGIC MIKE and 21 JUMP STREET, will both star and produce in the film about the famous daredevil EVEL KNIEVEL. Based on the book by Stuart Baker, according to "The Hollywood Reporter", the film will follow the man who was born in the town of Butte, Montana in 1938. He became a household name in the 1970s for his death-defying jumps in front of national TV audiences. He holds several world records, including the Guinness Book of World Records mark for the most broken bones in a lifetime, with 433. The showman died of pulmonary disease in 2007.
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
If you're one of the two or three people in the world who aren't a bit sick
by now of vampire movies, you might like HARKER, a reboot of famous DRACULA film which, as "Deadline" reports today, might be directed by HOSTEL helmer Eli Roth. Russell  Crowe (who is hoping for a resurrection of his own career with LES MISERABLES, NOAH and this one, after a few years of flops) is playing the lead role of Dracula himself and the story will revolve around a Scotland Yard detective Jonathan Harker as he investigates and tracks down the famous vampire. The role of the detective hasn't been cast yet.

HELLO I MUST BE GOING!
The trailer I have for you today is for charming drama HELLO I MUST BE GOING which features actress Melanie Lynskey (TWO AND A HALF MEN) in her breakout role as Amy, a recent divorcee
who seeks refuge in the suburban Connecticut home of her parents (Blythe Danner and John Rubinstein). Demoralized and uncertain of her future, Amy begins an affair with a 19-year-old actor (Christopher Abbott) that jumpstarts her passion for life and helps her discover an independence and sense of purpose that she has missed for years. Coupling Danner's subtly riveting performance as a frustrated empty nester with Lynskey's endearing and nuanced depiction of both the comic and tragic avenues of an existential crossroads, HELLO I MUST BE GOING is a modern, unconventional love story infused with sex, humor, and emotional honesty - everything Amy will need to get on in life.

  6. I'm telling you darling be glad you weren't born when this Evel Knieval character was doing these ridiculous jumps. It really was hard to tell what was worse, the man for doing them or the people who applauded such things. And his son, poor thing, has turned out just like him.

When I saw that pic of Channing the first thing I thought was how much like you he looks here. Your lips are more sensuous, but there is quite a resemblance.

We've talked about Russell before and you know how I feel. I had such hopes for him and then he ruined his career with alcohol and bad behavior. I do hope that he has put that behind him and lives up to his potential in this group of films.

My first reaction when I saw the description of Hello I Must Be Going was "Oh God no, not a movie about a silly woman falling for a little boy." But I've learned from you and stopped myself from having that thought and focused on the message of the movie. Love and it's power to heal.

    1. oh, yes, he does seem like an atrocious idiot, darling. Hate irresponsible freaks.

Lol, Channing looks like moi? :) There is something in his eyes for sure.... ladies love that. When I post my pic on one of those online applications for comparing your photos with celeb ones, I usually get Justin Timberlake. I think we have similar facial symmetry.

It is such a heartwarming trailer, isn't it? We all love when love sweeps us off our feet and gives us hope, don't we? I'm searching for that hope....

  7. Crowe is full of crap and not a very nice chap, so don't care about him, although some of his movies aren't so grim. Channing even stopped GI Joe, his stardom is so on the rise haha

Ah, me remembers the days when I was the only one supporting him and everybody laughed at me, and look at him now. I'm such a great prophet when it comes to Hollywood...

  11. I must say, Channing Tatum is growing on me. I mean, he has always been nice to look at, but the more I see him in movies and talk show appearances, I am digging him.

As for vampires...I have got to pass on that. Enough of them!

The Ms. Lynskey....I have been a fan of hers since I saw "Heavenly Creatures" years ago! So happy to see he doing well!! The movie looks great!

  13. Tatum is taking a shot at directing, huh? We shall see how that goes. I didn't realize he was married and has a baby too. I learned that the other day.

I just watched a Beautiful Mind yesterday while I was down with a Migraine. Crowe is great in that movie. It's a great movie of how a couple stays together through thick and thin. A true love story, I think.

I liked the trailer and I love the mom, Danner?, I think she is a great actress. I'm happy to see her in so many films lately. Funny how that happens as some actors get older - you see them in more and more films while others seem to disappear.

    Have a great day, Dezz!!!

    1. ah, I did tell you before that he is married to Jenna Dewan (who tweeted about HOLLYWOOD SPY a year or two ago :), and that the two of the met while shooting STEP UP. A very lovely couple. I don't think they have a baby, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yep, unlike her daughter Gwyneth Paltrow, Blythe Danner is really great! Her hubs died a few years ago, and after that she got more time to act in films.

  14. I never really paid Tatum any attention. But between his solid hosting of SNL last season, and his unexpectedly funny turn in 21 Jumpstreet, I'm willing to give his non-comedic roles another shot.
