2ND "TOTAL RECALL" TRAILER WITH COLIN FARRELL & CATE BECKINSALE! INSPIRING TRAILER FOR BRADLEY COOPER'S "THE SILVER LINING PLAYBOOK"! RYAN REYNOLDS IS "HIGHLANDER"! "THE HUMAN FLY" FILM ADAPTATION

I've got two trailers for you today, people. First, there's the second clip for upcoming sf remake of TOTAL RECALL which looks rather
dynamic. Directed by Len Wiseman and coming out this August, it is an action thriller about Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police - controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world - Quaid
teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate. John Cho is also in the cast.
SUPERHERO FILM HEADLINES
In today's superhero movie news, "Deadline" has revealed that the work
on THE HUMAN FLY has moved forward. The 70's Marvel comic book has been sold for film adaptation. The story of the comic book revolved around a young man who was severely injured in a car crash after which he underwent several operations with his skeletal system being replaced by steel. He became The Human Fly to perform at charity benefits, where he would often tangle with criminals trying to rob the gala events. Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds has been officially confirmed as the new HIGHLANDER and he will play the famous sword wielding immortal Connor McLeod.
THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK
Second trailer for today is the first clip for the film  adaptation of the best-selling novel by Matthew Quick THE SILVER LININGS
PLAYBOOK. Premiering this November, it follows Pat Peoples (Bradley Cooper)a man always trying to look on the bright side of life. Released from the hospital after losing his wife to another man, Pat believes this age-old adage is just the ticket to trying to win her back and get his life on track. Trying to remain resolutely undiscouraged, Pat moves back in with his parents and devotes himself entirely to becoming the man his wife always wanted him to be. But it's an uphill battle. Until Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), a beautiful young woman whose life also has not turned out the way she wanted. Together, the couple will try
and navigate through their lives and stay true to who they are, always just one adventure away from a unique friendship, and possibly even love. The cast also includes Robert De Niro.

  1. Total recall sounds like rip off of "Paycheck" and "Bourne series".
Ryan Reynold ones sounds kool. Bradley Cooper, this guy is like "Loiuse and Thelma's J.D. Brad Pitt, handsome actor, needs a break this dude.

    1. I liked the first trailer they showed us earlier much better than this slow and boring one.
There really is a bit too much of Cooper out there... not that I mind too much :)

  2. I can't believe they're remaking Total Recall. Not that the Arnold is anything special, but some things are classic and therefore sacred, dammit!

  7. The new highlander should die. Ryan Reynolds doesn't work as him, but then you never know. Still stupid remakes and yeah the new Total Recall trailer was crappy, not that I expect much else from a Colin Farrell movie.

  10. Oh no, a total recall remake? Say it ain't so. The Human Fly? So many super hero money makers... getting kind of tired of it lol. Anything Robert De Niro touches is usually golden so I expect The Silver Linings Playbook to be good.

    3. thanks, but no thanks, cat, save it for your own pleasure :) But if you have some Colin Farrell porn.....

  12. At the start of the "Silver Linings" trailer, I thought -- nope, don't want to see this. By the end -- hell yeah, I'll go! Looks good!

  13. Total Recall actually looks pretty awesome. It's got the futuristic look like Minority Report. I wonder if Arnold is upset?

  16. Aaah, it's quite hard to replace Christophe Lambert as the Highlander (he has such a dark look!), and I don't approve their choice of choosing RR :S But I might watch it anyway and see if it's disappointing or not.

    Good day, Dez!

  20. You know I'm there for Total Recall. But yuck on the Jennifer Lawrence Bradley Cooper thing. He looks like a smarmy used car salesman and can't act. I wouldn't buy them as strangers on bus stop let alone friends or a couple. Her, sure, him, no. ;)

  21. Why, why, why? Remakes seem to be the mainstay of Hollywood at the moment. Never liked Total Recall in the first place so that's a no-no for me. Highlander shouldn't be messed with. It's to hope that they keep the Queen soundtrack and Ryan Reynolds is no dodgy accented Christopher Lambert. :-)

  22. I like the TOTAL RECALL trailer and love Colin and Kate each. The Total Recall movie poster is more appealing than the trailer, tho. When I first read about THE HUMAN FLY , I thought "Oh no...not another friggin' remake" but I'm glad to know that the story is from a comic book....a different story than that "accidental" experiment FLY movie with Geena Davis...which I loved when I was a kid, man, lol.

I don't care how much I liked Ryan Reynolds in BURIED, I'm not so enthusiastic about watching a movie about a guy who is a life-size fly. No deal! I'd be willing to give The Silver Living a looksee tho, since Bradley Cooper is a sexy son of a bitch and he and DeNiro have some sort of on-screen frenemy trend going on (weren't they both in Limitless?).

I actually liked the original Total Recall overall and to this day, can never forget that scene in Mars where they lost oxygen, nor the scene with the crazy cab driver dude. Man oh man, that was something.

Also, you won a "One Lovely Blog" award -- with different style this time :)

  23. When Hollywood notes a trend they do it to death. Remakes and comic books are dominating the scene it seems. Mixed feelings about Total Recall. On the one hand the concept is a fun one to play around with and on the other hand it's been done before. I love Colin so cat can bugger off on that score!

Silver Lining looks like a good one for me Dez. Things may look bad but if we keep on hanging on and don't give up. they will turn themselves around. I'll email you later today dear.
