Jeri Ryan AKA Seven of Nine, is coming back to sf. But it will only be in a web series. She will play Sonja Blade in
MORTAL KOMBAT and she says that the ten episode web series will have a great script, foillowing a group of world-renowned warriors who band together to save the world from the nefarious villain.
I would have preferred that a British actress been given the part, but I'm sure MS will be brilliant playing the MT :)

I think Meryl is perfect for the part. She looks amazing like Thatcher. Also, Seven of Nine was one of my favorite character, so I'm going to be watching out for the episodes.

Meryl Streep does look like Margaret Thatcher. :) She's a little prettier than I remember, but this is that recognisable look. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I would have to guess, I'd say Famke got the role of witch. She' a little old to play Gretel, but she could make a memorable witch. :)
I think I remember seeing a clip/trailer for that new Mortal Kombat some time ago. It was a lot grittier and darker than we would expect from such franchise. Perhaps they re-imagined it as some kind of film noir, or just some dark thriller instead of action-fantasy.
But then again, maybe it was the tone of just that clip, and not the whole series.
I thought she could never beat her own unbelievable portrayal of Julia Child, but she did it again :)
