A WEDDING IN THE SERIES FINALE OF "LEGEND OF THE SEEKER"?
Ah, we have come to the very end. This weekend we shall watch the first part of "Legend of the Seeker" second season finale, which is according to most news also the finale of the whole series, since ABC has canceled the show, and it seems there won't be a third season. The only comfort is the fact that the finale seems quite epic, with Richard, Kahlan, Cara and Zed finishing their adventures with a wedding. According to these pictures, it seems the show will finish with Darken Rahl (who will obviously finally turn good) marrying Richard the Seeker and Kahlan the mother Confessor. So we shall shed both tears of joy (for the happy ending) and tears of sadness (for the final ending). And, yes, I shall probably weep for Tabrett Bethell :((
It's over already - and I never even watched an episode.
ReplyDeleteawwww, I'm so bummed!! Such a fun show! I guess, I'll just have to read the series now.
ReplyDeleteI am glad they get a happy ending, unlike Robin Hood! I am disappointed to see The Seeker series end though.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I love happy endings. I hope they're not messing with us.
ReplyDeleteI really hate that this show was cancelled when it's so much fun and WAY WAY better than V, SGU, Lost, Merlin...I could go on. Why!? (shakes fist at heavens)
Did Jolene Blalock only end up doing one episode?
ReplyDeleteEh, I only watched the first season and then quickly lost interest.
ReplyDeleteSeries ending - bad. Wedding - good. Darken Rahl turns good - WTF are they thinking? Who does Cara marry, cos she's mine, dude.
ReplyDelete@Alex
ReplyDeleteyou should have, it IS an epic fantasy.
@Palindrome
the hope remains that maybe some other station or studio will buy it for the third season.
@Avalon
we deserve a happy ending :)
@Lorel
I'm shaking my fist with you.
@Answer
She played Nicci, sister of the Light in three episodes or maybe even four, she stole the magic hans (magic powers) of all other sisters and became the most powerful sorceress, but was killed in the end. She had some really hot scenes in the show.
@Dawn
the second season was much better.
@Michael
What do you mean, she's yours???? Haven't you noticed I've turned this website into Cara's temple??? If anyone deserves her, it's meeeeeeee :))) Yes, I kinda like Darken Rahl being naughty, he was one of the most charming TV villains ever :) But the new white suit really does fit him lovely.
I see the actor who played Darken Rahl is in the new epic, Spartacus series that is about to be shown in the UK on the Bravo channel.Minus the long hair, the beard... and the magical powers. Obviously.
ReplyDeleteDamn, where is the other brunette? I only watched like one episode though so what do I know.
ReplyDelete@Dezmond - cool, eventually I'll get around to watching this series.
ReplyDelete@Michael
ReplyDeletethat's my favourite Kiwi actor (not counting Karl Urban) Craig Parker :) I've already watched almost whole first season of SPARTACUS and I like the show a lot. But Craig doesn't have a big role there, unlike his role in SEEKER.
@Castor
which brunette? Carisma Carpenter? She was a guest in just one episode.
@Answer
well, if you like fantasy and gorgeous women and men, you should :)
I've seen the first 5 episodes of the first season and kind of lost track after that. I'll probably have a marathon once the DVD is released. It's kind of sad that there'll be no third season (though I've heard that fans have put together $10k to get some advertising to attract a new network). I'm a bit surprised that a novel adaptation that deviates so much from the source material has been so well received by the public. I'm not too keen on the idea of Darken Rahl turning good, but I've not seen the plot progression of the series, so it may make sense.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jamie, fans are signing petitions all over the Net. The fans of the show aren't the same fans that adore the books. Thanks to amazing cast, stunning sets, entertaining but light stories, and overwhelming amount of gorgeous people which appear in the lead and the supporting and episode roles, the show got popular both among women and men, children and older audience. And plus we don't have any similar fantasy show on air.
