IS "KICK-ASS" AARON JOHNSON A NEW CYCLOPS OR MAGNETO IN "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS"

This story has been the number one mystery around the Net last few days: is young Aaron Johnson going to put on a new super hero suit after playing the lead role in "Kick-Ass" recently? He was spotted on a meeting with director Matthew Vaughn and James McAvoy last week in London, which immediately raised rumors about Aaron possibly getting a role in "X-Men: First Class" which is being directed by Matthew Vaughn (who also directed "Kick-Ass") and we already know that James McAvoy got the part of young professor Xavier in it, so which role could Aaron get? Guys over at "SlashFilm" suspect it could be either the role of young Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, or the role of young Magneto. What's even more interesting about this mystery is the fact that earlier this month Aaron has met with Bryan Singer (the man who was supposed to direct the "First Class" in the first place) about the role in "Jack the Giant Killer", the project that stopped Singer from helming the "X-Men" prequel. Since Singer is still producing "First Class" did he draft Aaron for the role of Cyclops or Magneto then?

GUILLERMO DEL TORO OFFICIALLY LEAVES "THE HOBBIT" PROJECT

OK, so the news which is pretty much the hottest item this Monday is the one about Guillermo Del Toro officially leaving the helm of "The Hobbit" adaptation. In an official press release he said that he can no longer cope with the constant delays of the start date of the filming, which is forcing him to delay the other of his future movies. As he said, after nearly two years of living, breathing and designing a world of the Middle Earth, he had to take leave from helming "The Hobbit". Del Toro is still co-writing "The Hobbit" screenplays with Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson. The two-part movie is supposed to have Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman, Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis in the cast. Who do you think will take the helm instead Del Toro? Peter Jackson himself, his buddy Sam Raimi, or someone else?

JOSEPH FIENNES AND EVA GREEN JOIN NEW HISTORICAL SAGA "CAMELOT"

Back in March we've told you that Starz was planning to shoot "Camelot" historical TV show with the team that made "The Tudors", and now we have the first casting updates. With the original new approach to the timeless Arthurian legend the producers are planning to weave authenticity into a modern telling of the Arthur legends that is relatable to contemporary audiences. Now, with the shooting scheduled for June in Ireland, "Camelot" also has the first stars: young Jamie Campbell Bower ("Harry Potter", "Game of Thrones", "New Moon") will appear as King Arthur while lovely Tamsin Egerton ("St. Trinians") will play Guinevere. Two more famous names include Eva Green, who is supposed to play sorceress Morgana la Fay, and Joseph Fiennes with whom the producers are negotiating around the role of Merlin. HOLLYWOOD SPY will keep you posted on the casting process.

STUNNING NEW TEASER FOR RUSSIAN 3D FANTASY "RORRIM BO AND THE MAGIC GOBLET"

HOLLYWOOD SPY's official emissary in Singapore, Jaccsy, has found a full teaser trailer for the upcoming Russian 3D fantasy movie "Rorrim Bo and the Magic Goblet", which we've mentioned some time ago, but the new trailer offers a look into some stunning new scenes and some cool new creatures. The movie starts in ancient past when the inhabitants of a fantasy world have chased away an evil witch Vergilda to our world and imprisoned her in the Magic Goblet, where she languished for 500 years until the workers in a Pioneer camp found her while preparing for the New Year's Eve and accidentally let her out. Weakened by centuries of bondage, the Witch moved into the body of the unsuspecting senior Pioneer, and now she needs to feed on someone else's fears to rebuild her force and return to the magical country. Off course, the camp is full with children who like telling horror stories and scaring each other, not knowing that they are helping the Witch in her horrible plans. The only one who can save them is Rorrim Bo the son of the hero who had put the Witch into the Goblet many years ago. The only problem is that Rorrim Bo is not so brave as his father, and is afraid of everything in the world.

ALIEN ATTACK IN SCI-FI EPIC "PACIFIC RIM"

Although he didn't exactly amaze the world with his work on "Clash of the Titans", screenwriter Travis Beacham is enjoying himself these days since according to "Deadline" he has just sold his new script "Pacific Rim" to Legendary Pictures for a high six-figures sum. "Pacific Rim" will be a sci-fi epic set in a future that finds Earth under attack from a group of malicious creatures. In an effort to rally the One World Order, all the governments of the world must come together to stop this threat using highly advanced technology.
The interesting fact about this whole story is that Travis Beacham has only written a very detailed twenty-five page treatment so far, but the film's premiere has already been scheduled for summer 2013.

VOTE FOR SERBIA TOMORROW AT 2010 EUROSONG IN NORWAY

As most of you know, the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST finale is on Saturday evening in Oslo, Norway, and according to journalists there and the fans, the main favourite to win is Milan Stankovic from Serbia. After getting the tittle of the most refined country at Eurosong in last decade, thanks to three powerful ballads we've sent to previous Eurosongs, Serbia has decided to send a faster song this year, and it seems it worked again. So if you are one of the HOLLYWOOD SPY's readers living in one of the European countries, vote for Milan and his song OVO JE BALKAN :).
To remind you, Serbia first appeared at Eurosong as an independent country in 2004 and immediately amazed whole Europe with Zeljko Joksimovic's stunning ballad LANE MOJE which ended up in a second place after losing the victory with just a few points and it became one of the biggest Eurosong hits ever. But the justice was satisfied when Marija Serifovic brought victory to Serbia at Eurosong 2007 with another stunning ballad MOLITVA. After that, Jelena Tomasevic sang ORO in Eurosong held in Belgrade, and won a high 6th place. So help Serbia secure the high place again and vote for Milan and his charming and cheerful song full of positive energy and love. He performs as song number 8 in tomorrow's finals.

JAMES MCAVOY IS PROFESSOR XAVIER IN "X-MEN: FIRST CLASS"

Oh, here's a cool piece of news. Director Matthew Vaughn has found one of the lead actors for the new installment of the famous mutant saga "X-Men: First Class". One of our favourite British lads, James McAvoy will play young Professor Xavier. We've already mentioned before that "X-Men: First Class" will chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were the closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants, some familiar, some new, to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

NEWS FROM ANCIENT ROME: "THE EAGLE OF THE NINTH" AND "EMPEROR: YOUNG CAESAR"

Today we have two updates regarding two upcoming epics set in ancient Rome. The movie which we talked about a lot here at HOLLYWOOD SPY "The Eagle of the Ninth" has been pushed to February 25th, 2011, so we obviously won't see it this year. According to some rumors, the studio and the audience at the special screenings thought this epic could be polished up a bit and enhanced, so we shall have to wait a bit for its premiere. As you know, "The Eagle of the Ninth" follows a young centurion (Channing Tatum) and his slave (Jamie Bell) who set out across Hadrian's Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia to find the missing Ninth Legion. The movie also stars Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong, and Tahar Rahim.

Last week I also told you about the plans to adapt Conn Iggulden's famous novels about Julius Caesar. The new update reveals that the film is going to be based on the first two novels, "The Gates of Rome" and "The Field of Swords", where Julius and Brutus are raised to become Roman soldiers. Burr Steers ("17 Again") will direct the epic named "Emperor: Young Caesar".

JAMIE BELL AND JOSH HUTCHERSON AMONG LAST FIVE CONTENDERS FOR SPIDERMAN

It seems that after the casting chaos around "Captain America", we now have a new similar situation in which young actors are competing around a lucrative lead role under a super hero costume. According to "Heat Vision" the final five candidates to star as Peter Parker in the new "Spider-Man" reboot are Jamie Bell, Josh Hutcherson, Alden Ehrenreich, Frank Dillane and Andrew Garfield. Director Marc Webb wants a young actor who isn't overly popular to portray Peter Parker in his early high school days since the whole movie will be an angst-ridden tale of a teen dealing with the knowledge that his uncle died even though he had the power to stop it. Anyone you like from the list of top five contenders?

NICOLE SCHERZINGER WINS "DANCING WITH THE STARS" AND GOES ON WITH HER MUSIC CAREER

That stunning pussycat Nicole Scherzinger is really enjoying some great times these days. Last night she won the "Dancing with the Stars" finale after showing amazing dancing skills and irresistible charm together with her dancing partner Derek Hough, which helped her win judges' and audience's hearts. And then, there's another fresh news: although it was said Nicole will leave the Pussycat Dolls, since her solo album "Her Name is Nicole" had a nice success around the world and her song "Baby Love" became a huge hit, their production house has decided to kick all the other girls from the band and bring four new Pussycats who will form again around stunning and ultra talented Nicole. But before they record a new album, Nicole is ready for another solo project with the new single "Nobody Can Change Me" which will be released this year and you can hear it over at YouTube.

RED CARPET FASHION AT "SEX AND THE CITY 2" WORLD PREMIERE

So, since you're currently voting in our SEX AND THE CITY poll, I thought I could bring you the report from Monday's SEX AND THE CITY 2 world premiere at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The girls turned the whole premiere into a glamorous evening walking over the red carpet in stunning gowns as we've expected them to.

Sarah Jessica Parker really shinned this time in amazing neon yellow Valentino gown. Kristin Davis came elegant and refined as always in a strapless pink dress, while Kim Cattrall decided to appear in a dazzling golden dress bringing some sparkle to the red carpet. Although she decided to come in a black gown, Cynthia Nixon, looked fresher than ever in her simple, but charming outfit. As you know, SEX AND THE CITY 2 is out this week in cinemas near you.

JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS IS HOLLYWOOD SPY'S BEST TV HUNK. NEW POLL: YOUR FAVOURITE SEX AND THE CITY GIRL

YOUR FAVOURITE TV HUNK poll (part one) has just finished, and as you've seen it was basically a clash between Jonathan Rhys Meyers' and Craig Parker's fans. Jonathan Rhys Meyers won since his fans left outrageous 200 votes in last two days of the voting, leaving Craig Parker on a second place as a moral winner. Jonathan Rhys Meyers took 222 votes, Craig Parker 95, while Eric Dane's 14 votes got him on the third place.

Stunningly charismatic Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been around for quite some time, but his breakthrough was the mesmerizing role of king Henry in the worldwide famous series THE TUDORS. One of the best historical series ever has given him the opportunity to truly shine. Playing the naughty king wasn't difficult for him, since he is known to have a naughty nature in real life as well (he's just been admitted to a rehab facility in London a few days ago). Hope the love of his fans will help him go through these problems. I personally adored his breathtaking roles as king Philip in THE LION IN WINTER, and his roles in THE EMPEROR'S WIFE, MATCH POINT, THE CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI, TITUS. Come to think of it, these are all some of my favourite movies, so I strongly recommend them to you, and not just because Jonathan plays roles in them. We've also seen him in ALEXANDER, VANITY FAIR, THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS .... The man really knows how to choose great movies and TV projects. Believe it or not, he never won an Emmy nor a Golden Globe for his role in THE TUDORS. A horrible injustice.

Now we shall make a small break before we return to the second part of YOUR FAVOURITE TV HUNK poll with some new TV stars, since SEX AND THE CITY 2 premiere is coming up this week. To celebrate the second part of the SEX AND THE CITY movie, in the next two weeks you will be choosing your FAVOURITE SEX AND THE CITY GIRL. So who is it: egocentric Carrie Bradshaw, charming and adorable Charlotte York, smart and ironic Miranda Hobbes, sexy and funny Samantha Jones, or Stanford Blatch during whose wedding Lisa Minelli will sing SINGLE LADIES in SEX AND THE CITY 2? Vote on as much as you like in the following two weeks.

SF VIDEO GAME "MASS EFFECT" TO BE ADAPTED ONTO THE BIG SCREEN

According to "MovieWeb" Legendary Pictures, one of the producers of mega blockbusters such are "The Dark Knight", "300", "Clash of the Titans" and "Watchmen", has acquired film rights to the hit video game "Mass Effect" which they are planning to adapt together with Warner Bros. The popular epic science fiction series takes place in the year 2183 and follows Commander Shepard of the SS Normandy who leads a team on a mission to defeat an ancient alien race that invades the galaxy every 50,000 years, wiping out all organic life. The fast paced action-adventure "Mass Effect" video game has earned rave reviews from critics worldwide for its compelling characters and an engaging back story. So I guess we are getting a huge sf blockbuster scheduled for 2012.

Humphrey is an Omega wolf, whose days are about quick wit, snappy one-liners and hanging with his motley crew of fun-loving wolves and video-gaming squirrels. Kate is an Alpha: duty, discipline and sleek Lara Croft eye-popping moves fuel her fire. Humphrey's motto - make 'em laugh. Kate's motto - I'm the boss. And they have a thousand miles to go. Stars who gave their voices for the movie include Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci, Justin Long, Dennis Hopper ...

ORLANDO BLOOM OFFICIALLY IN "THE THREE MUSKETEERS"

So it's official, Orlando Bloom has signed on to portray the Duke of Buckingham, the arch-nemesis to the Musketeers, in the upcoming 3D adventure "The Three Musketeers". This confirms that he just can't stay away from swords and period costumes, so after "Kingdom of Heaven", "Lord of the Rings" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" (which he left this year) he will wield a blade again in Paul W.S. Anderson’s new remake of the classic story. As you remember, Anderson said that he will bring a new look into the old tale: We are definitely modernizing "The Three Musketeers" without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece. But in our film, corsets and feathered hats don’t take center stage. Our version is rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure.

FIRST PICTURES OF WENTWORTH MILLER IN "RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE"

YOU MUST FIRST SURVIVE EACH OTHER - THE ULTRA CREEPY TEASER FOR "THE DIVIDE"

You must check the teaser for the new apocalyptic horror thriller "The Divide" which is still in production but the director Xavier Gens ("Hitman") has decided to give us an early look at his movie. It follows people who panic when a building starts shaking. When they try to get out of the place, someone is seen closing a door and leaving the survivors trapped inside the building. The story is set in New York, which is virtually destroyed in a mysterious explosion in the first act. Eight survivors take refuge in the fallout shelter of an apartment building, where they are menaced first by mysterious men in HazMat suits and eventually by each other. The cast is lead by Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes"), Michael Biehn ("The Terminator") and Rosanna Arquette.

JUNO TEMPLE IS THE QUEEN IN PAUL W.S. ANDERSON'S "THE THREE MUSKETEERS"

Pretty stunning bunch of stars gathered to play in Paul W.S. Anderson's 3D version of the famous adventure "The Three Musketeers" has just got a new, royal, member. Young British actress Juno Temple will play her royal highness Queen Anne in the new adventure which is to start shooting this September. As you know, she joins the cast which already includes Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Matthew Macfadyen, Mads Mikkelsen, Milla Jovovich and maybe even Orlando Bloom. We've seen young Juno Temple in "Atonement", "St. Trinians", "The Other Boleyn Girl", "Notes on a Scandal" .... I wonder what kind of cast will Doug Liman gather for his own version of the Musketeers, the Warner Brother's answer to Anderson's project.

NEW "SEX AND THE CITY 2" POSTER ATTACKS ALL MEN WHERE IT HURTS MOST

Now this surely isn't a fair game. Judging from the fresh new poster of the upcoming movie "Sex and the City 2", the ladies have decided to attack men and kick them where it hurts the most - as you can see from the poster a stunning, glittery almost perfect female high heeled shoe is punching a poor little soccer ball right in the groins. Is this just a clever marketing trick (the slogan says "there are other ways to score") or an attack on boys, it remains to be seen, but the timing couldn't be better to score the point against male enemies with the World Soccer Championship coming up this summer in South Africa as the peak of world wide soccer-mania season. What shall you watch this summer - "Sex and the City 2" like the rest of the ladies or The World Soccer Cup in Africa like the rest of the boys? :)

HAYDEN PANETTIERE TO SCREAM HER LUNGS OUT IN "SCREAM 4"

Eh, it seems the horror empire has found the new generation of victims. With her show "Heroes" being canceled, stunningly gorgeous Hayden Panettiere didn't wait for long to find herself a new role. According to "MovieWeb" she will scream her lungs out together with Ashley Green, Lake Bell and Rory Culkin in "Scream 4". "Scream 4" will reunite director Wes Craven with screenwriter Kevin Williamson and with the original cast members Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, though the new sequel is seen as a passing of the baton to a new generation of slasher victims. Ashley Greene is supposed to play Campbell's cousin Jill, essentially the heroine of the movie, while Panettiere would play her best friend, a nerdy film geek with Culkin playing a potential love interest for Jill. Bell will play a police officer who knew Sidney (Campbell) from high school.

JAMES FRANCO TAKES THE LEAD IN "RISE OF THE APES"

It seems that Fox has found the actor to take the lead role in their upcoming prequel "Rise of the Apes" the movie which will explain the events which lead to "Planet of the Apes". James Franco will join the ape drama in which he will play a young scientist who has a key role in the conflict that started between the apes and humans. The film will be set in present-day San Francisco where a string of genetic experiments leads to apes becoming intelligent and creating a power struggle between the apes and humans. Directed by Rupert Wyatt the film will start shooting this July and is set to premiere June 24, 2011.

CHARMING TRAILER FOR "RIO" ANIMATED ADVENTURE

Now, here's a real sweety :) Twentieth Century Fox has just released the trailer for their new animated movie "Rio". With voices from Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris and Rodrigo Santoro, and directed by Carlos Saldanha who previously worked on "Robots" and the three "Ice Age" films, "Rio" is a 3D animated film set in the magnificent city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rainforest of Brazil. The comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind. When Blu discovers there’s another, and that she’s a she, he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it’s far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life’s many wonders. "Rio" brings together a menagerie of vivid characters, a heart-warming story, colorful backdrops, energizing Latin and contemporary music, and family-friendly song and dance.

ROBERT RODRIGUEZ TO MAKE LIVE ACTION ADVENTURE "FIRE AND ICE"

It seems that after losing the helm of "Red Sonia", Robert Rodriguez has find himself a new barbaric toy-project. In an interview for "Ain't It Cool News" he has revealed that he has bought the rights to the 1983 animated film "Fire and Ice". Since he controls the rights to the adaptation, he believes this time the movie won't get stalled for various reasons like some of his previous projects. "Fire and Ice" will be a live action adventure in which the story starts when a tiny village is destroyed by a surging glacier, which serves as the deadly domain for the evil Ice Lord, Nekron. The only survivor is a young warrior, Larn, who vows to avenge this act of destruction. The evil continues, however, as Nekron's palace of ice heads straight towards Fire Keep, the great fortress ruled by the good King Jarol. When Jarol's beautiful daughter, Teegra, is abducted by Nekron's sub-human ape-like creatures, Larn begins a daring search for her. What results is a tense battle between good and evil, surrounded by the mystical elements of the ancient past.

MEGAN FOX KICKED OUT OF "TRANSFORMERS", GEMMA ARTERTON TO REPLACE HER

Oh, these sure are some spicy news. Paramount and Michal Bay have decided to kick naughty Megan Fox out of the "Transformers" franchise, and to give Shia Le Beouf a new love interest which would make more sense for the story. As you know Megan had a lot of sharp and imprudent statements about Michael Bay comparing his directorial approach to Hitler, so it was more or less obvious that she has closed the doors leading her to "Transformers 3" with her own hasty remarks. But according to "Variety" the decision was unrelated to those remarks.
As expected, the studio and Bay are not crying after Megan, and according to first rumors, Bay has already had a talk with Gemma Arterton ("Clash of the Titans", "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time") about the lead role. According to "The Wrap" she could compete for the main female role with model/actresses Miranda Kerr, Brooklyn Decker and Bar Rafaeli.

DISNEY TO MAKE NEW LIVE ACTION "CINDERELLA"

Well, I guess that in the world of vampires and robots, we really could use a good fairy tale with a gorgeous princess off course. According to the latest news Disney is planning a new live action version of "Cinderella" inspired by the successful adaptations of classics into live action films we've seen recently ("Alice in Wonderland").
A 7-figure deal is currently made for a project which will be penned by Aline Brosh McKenna. This is actually a great news, since McKenna has written some charming and very popular romantic comedies such as "The Devil Wears Prada" and "27 Dresses". The new "Cinderella" will be produced by Simon Kinberg ("Jumper", "X-Men: First Class"). The story of an unfortunate girl meeting her prince has been told in many feature films, my favourite probably being Drew Barrymore's "Ever After", but I guess it won't hurt seeing the beloved story up in cinemas again.

DREW BARRYMORE TO DIRECT "SURRENDER DOROTHY", A SEQUEL TO "WIZARD OF OZ"

Now this sounds charming. According to "Pajiba", Warner Brothers and Drew Barrymore's production company "Flower Films" have decided to resurrect their idea of making a sequel to "Wizard of Oz" in which she previously also had the lead role reserved for her, but they will now try to find some younger actress. Drew will use "Surrender Dorothy" as her second directing attempt after "Whip It". "Surrender Dorothy" will follow Dorothy's great-great- granddaughter who must learn how to use the power of ruby red slipper to keep the Wicked Witch of the West from taking control of the kingdoms of Earth and Oz.

VANESSA WILLIAMS JOINS "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES"

Just when I thought I might give up on "Desperate Housewives" which became too crime and mystery oriented for my taste and lost its original flair and humour, they found a way to bring me back :) New season will bring a special new housewife to Fairview with stunning Vanessa Williams joining the seventh season of ABC's popular show. After she's conquered Broadway, shined in "Ugly Betty", recorded some huge pop classics in her music career, proved herself on the big screen as well, Vanessa Williams will now play a new desperate housewife who's sure to shake things up in the neighborhood and wreak havoc in the lives of the women of Wisteria Lane.
As we've mentioned before, coming this Fall, the seventh season of "Desperate Housewives" will probably also be the final one, bringing the closing chapter to one of the most popular shows ever.
After losing her business, Bree will begin the process of rebuilding her life by telling Gaby a secret that could end their friendship. Lynette and Tom will face a rough road ahead as they welcome a fifth child to their ever growing brood, and Susan and Mike's financial woes will force them to rent out their house and leave Wisteria Lane. But when Paul Young mysteriously returns to the neighborhood as the new tenant, suspicions will rise.

"THE CAPE" BRINGS DAVID LYONS AS NBC'S NEW SUPERHERO

"The Cape" is one of the new shows premiering in the Fall 2010 season. The show stars David Lyons ("ER") as Vince Faraday, an honest cop on a corrupt police force, who finds himself framed for a series of murders and presumed dead. He is forced into hiding, leaving behind his wife and son. Fueled by a desire to reunite with his family and to battle the criminal forces that have overtaken Palm City, Faraday becomes "The Cape" his son's favorite comic book superhero, and takes the law into his own hands. James Frain ("The Tudors") appears as billionaire Peter Fleming, The Cape's nemesis, who moonlights as the twisted killer called Chess. Keith David ("Death at a Funeral") plays Max Malini, the ringleader of a circus gang of bank robbers who mentors Vince Faraday and trains him to be The Cape. Summer Glau ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", "Firefly") will play an investigative blogger who wages war on crime and corruption in Palm City.

"300" PRODUCERS MAKING EPIC TRILOGY "JULIUS CAESAR"

Cool news, people, cool news. According to "Deadline New York" the producers of "300", Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, will go epic again, this time with a new Roman trilogy. The first film will follow the early life of Julius Caesar, and could later on turn into a trilogy, since the whole project will actually be a movie adaptation of the bestselling historical novel series "Emperor" by one of the most famous historical writers Conn Iggulden. The script is being prepared by William Broyles Jr. ("Flags of Our Fathers") and the producers are currently searching for the cast and the director with the plan to start filming this year.

EXCLUSIVE FIRST PICTURE FROM STEVEN SPIELBERG'S "TERRA NOVA"

"MovieWeb" has just released the first teaser picture from Steven Spielberg's upcoming TV series "Terra Nova". Slated to debut at midseason in early 2011 on Fox "Terra Nova" will be an epic family adventure 85 million years in the making from executive producers Steven Spielberg ("Jurassic Park", "The Pacific"), Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga ("24", "Enterprise") and David Fury ("24", "Lost"). The action-adventure series will follow an ordinary family on an extraordinary journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a part of a massive expedition to save the human race.

BEHOLD THE EXCLUSIVE FIRST PICTURES FROM TARSEM SINGH'S EPIC "IMMORTALS"

Thanks to the Gods themselves, we finally have the hottest item ever - the first pictures from my most anticipated movie "Immortals" which is set to premier in November 2011. Directed by visual master genius Tarsem Singh ("The Fall", "The Cell"), this epic adventure stars Henry Cavill (as Theseus, the first picture), Mickey Rourke (as King Hyperion, the third picture) and gorgeous Freida Pinto (As Phaedra, the second picture).
"Immortals", which is currently being shot over in Montreal, and should be an epic action with luxurious Caravaggio style visuals, is basically a mythological tale set in war-torn ancient Greece where the young warrior, Theseus, leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek Gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods the Titans in order to save mankind.

SERBIAN BESTSELLER "CONSTANTINE'S CROSSROADS" GETTING AN EPIC MOVIE ADAPTATION

Serbian bestseller "Constantine's Crossroads" by Dejan Stojiljkovic, highly exciting epic thriller about the Nazi search for the sword of the famous Roman emperor Constantine, will soon get an epic movie adaptation, planned for 2012.
Staying true to the book, "Constantine's Crossroads" will follow the Nazi search for the sword of emperor Constantine, which was forged from the nails which had been used to crucify Jesus Christ. But since the movie will cover a great period in history following the destiny of the mysterious sword, there will be many magnificent scenes depicting great moments from ancient history: emperor Constantine's rule from his imperial city Naisus in Serbia, the legendary meeting of the Holy Roman emperor Friedrich Barbarossa and his 100,000 crusaders with Serbian king Stefan Nemanja in medieval Serbia .....
The producers are planning to make a visually stunning and rich movie, and the author of the book has already mentioned that he would like Kevin McKid in the role of emperor Constantine. As you know, Constantine was one of the 16 Roman emperors who were born in Serbia in one of the many imperial Roman cities spread around ancient Serbia. One of the goals of the movie is to promote Serbian history and also the jubilee of the Milan Edict, a letter signed in year 313, by emperor Constantine that proclaimed religious tolerance in the Roman Empire, after which Christianity rose to become the dominant religion in Rome.

JUDE LAW, KATE WINSLET, MATT DAMON AND GWYNETH PALTROW IN SODERBERGH'S "CONTAGION"

We already mentioned that Steven Soderbergh has decided to make a blockbuster for the first time in his career with "Contagion" a thriller which comes to cinemas October 21st, 2011, but we didn't mention that he has also decided to go three-dimensional. To be shot in 3D, with something that has been rumored as a "terrifying" script, "Contagion" is an action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak. Apparently the whole drama will start with a simple sneeze. Steven Soderbergh has already chosen quite a stunning cast including Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon who will be a married couple, Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard will play doctor experts, beside Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne.

DAVID FINCHER TO DIRECT "20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA" IN LINES WITH "STAR WARS"

It seems, David Fincher ("Fight Club", "Zodiac") has had enough of violent and dark movies, so he has decided to head over to Disney and make a huge career change. Believe it or not, according to "The Hollywood Reporter" he is in negotiations to direct the ultra expensive adaptation of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" instead of McG who has recently been kicked out from the project.

Based on Jules Verne's classic epic the new version will follow a group of men led by Captain Nemo, who battle a scientific genius and his giant submarine but differently from McG's idea to explore the origins of Captain Nemo, David Fincher's take on the material will be surprisingly less dark and more in lines with "Star Wars". They are planning to make a visually stunning movie, and are ready to start shooting before the end of this year.

NBC CANCELLS "HEROES" AND "LAW & ORDER"

NBC has finally put an end to its once popular sf show "Heroes". The end of the fourth season has also brought the official cancellation of the show which had an extremely varied fan reception over the years. I personally watched the whole first season, but found the story too dragged out, slow and boring, so I said my goodbye to my dear Claire Bear and Sylar at that time.
Apparently NBC has been trying to find a way to give closure to the fans by adding a short final season, but according to "Live Feed" they've ultimately decided that it wasn't worth it. However, depending on the way the audience will react to this news, there's a possibility of two-hour or four-hour TV movie being added afterwards to finalize the series and say goodbye to all the characters in a proper way.
NBC has also decided to kill the historic series "Law & Order" after the end of its 20th season next week, but they have picked up "Law & Order Los Angeles" and there are still other L&O daughter-series on.
