JUDE LAW, KATE WINSLET, MATT DAMON AND GWYNETH PALTROW IN SODERBERGH'S "CONTAGION"
We already mentioned that Steven Soderbergh has decided to make a blockbuster for the first time in his career with "Contagion" a thriller which comes to cinemas October 21st, 2011, but we didn't mention that he has also decided to go three-dimensional. To be shot in 3D, with something that has been rumored as a "terrifying" script, "Contagion" is an action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak. Apparently the whole drama will start with a simple sneeze. Steven Soderbergh has already chosen quite a stunning cast including Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon who will be a married couple, Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard will play doctor experts, beside Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne.
Great cast and always like Soderbergh's films. Besides, can't miss my girl, Kate!
ReplyDeleteEverything sounded great and then I read this: "cast including Gwyneth Paltrow". Yes, you got me right. She SUCKS!
ReplyDelete@Alex
ReplyDeletejust as long it's a Kate, exactly which one is not important :))
@Neb
I'm afraid her husband thinks the same, Gwyny and Chris Martin are on the verge of divorce.
What a superb cast of actors. This film will be a must see!
ReplyDeleteThe film truly sounds much more marketable than some of Soderbergh's other recent projects.
ReplyDeleteYep, Wendy and Jaccsy, I also think that the stunning cast is making it quite marketable and commercial.
ReplyDeleteGreat cast but cant watch these kind of movies...Afterwards I become fearful that it may happen in real life...You know I am a big baby.
ReplyDeleteJust the cast alone will get me to watch - but such a 'good looking' cast may take away from some realism. But major casting credit for Kate & Marion - who am I kidding - for everyone! It sounds like an interesting story and will make for great chemistry among the cast members.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted!
Yes, Avalon, these kind of movies can have a hypochondriac effect on people :)
ReplyDeleteVicks, my favourite stars in this cast are Kate and Jude :) I will keep you posted.
i everything want you see go to ready love you keep yourself said.
ReplyDeleteUnderstood, Demonterius :)
ReplyDeleteVery eclectic cast. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteKnowing Soderbergh, this will be good! Loved Erin Brockovich, loved Traffic, think he's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHey, Nadir and Sammy, glad you like it :)
ReplyDeleteSo Damon and Law back together again since 'Talented Mr. Ripley' where both are awesome in it. Not a huge fan of Soderbergh but the cast is indeed stunning (more for Marion and Kate, not so much Gwiny)
ReplyDeleteI must admit I've never understood Damons popularity. He seems kinda arrogant to me privately and too impassive professionally. But I do adore Kate and Jude.
ReplyDeletePoor Gwiny, she keeps getting roles although I've never met a person who likes her. I'm indifferent when it comes to her.
Y'know, I used to abhor Damon the way I still do Brad Pitt, but the Bourne series changed that. I don't follow gossip/celeb's personal life much (not even GB though I read more about it because I follow his fan site on Twitter.. oh and your blog! :) ), so I only judge Damon's on-screen performance. As for Gwiny, now she does come across as arrogant and completely impersonal. She should've never won that Oscar!
ReplyDeleteYep, am also one of those people who find Brad charming and all that, but he really isn't a profoundly talented actor.
ReplyDeleteGwyny, Julia, Halle, Helen Hunt .... just some of them who should've never won an Oscar :)
