SHEKHAR KAPUR'S AND DEEPAK CHOPRA'S "RAMAYAN AD" SF EPIC

Here's a story I wrote quite a long time ago, but never got to publish it. Reading it now, it seems these characters from Shekhar Kapur's and Deepak Chopra's "Ramayan AD" might have been one of those projects which gave an inspiration to James Cameron and his "Avatar". Click on the image bellow to read this interesting story, and let me know what you think.

  5. I was intrigued by this post, and I got a hold of these comics. It does look visually impressive. Not my favorie art-drawing style, but I must admit it look good. My only concer is that sometimes these vissualy rich styles are hard to "reed". Esspecially if it accompanied by some avantgarde story, or some exotic style of story-telling.

Still, it reasonably safe to assume that this movie would also be visually stunning (if it's ever made).

  6. Bels, I kind of knew you would like this one, and this post was intended for you :) As you know, Shekar Kapur is one of my favourite directors, the creator of stunningly amazing ELIZABETH and ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE. You can imagine the visual and dramatic aspect of RAMAYAN if it ever gets made, solely based on Kapur's previous work. But since it would be extremely expensive, I'm not sure the hopes are high in this story :(
