WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE FILM?
The fight between the Russian troops under the leadership of the princes Mikhail Vorotynsky and Dmitry Khvorostinina and the army of the
Crimean Khan Devleta I Gire, which also included Turkish and Nogai detachments, became one of those that will determine the future of the
country. Despite the considerable numerical superiority, the Crimean Turkish army was forced to turn and run away and suffered heavy losses. The
significance of the victory was huge, it allowed Russia to defend independence, unity, as well as control over Kazan and Astrakhan.1572. One year after the
burning of Moscow by the army of the Crimean Khanate, the enemy is again on the way. Now the goal of the Crimean Khan is a complete seizure of power
in the Moscow state. The Russian army was tied in battles on the western front, the Tsar was in Novgorod. A small army is defending Moscow. To resist
enslavement, units of "oprichniki" join forces with the regular army. By using a ruse to lure the invading horde of Crimean Khan Devlet Giray away from Moscow, the troops, led by commanders Vorotynsky and Khvorostinin, bear the brunt of the attack!
