THEIR NEW HERCULE POIROT
Well, they lost my interest with that boring casting: BBC has announced that they have cast Edward Bluemel as Agatha Christie’s iconic Belgian

detective in new drama series HERCULE – produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited for the BBC and BritBox North America. The six part series is an intimate study of Hercule the man and an epic portrait of Britain between the wars. The series takes a magnifying glass to three of Christie’s most celebrated stories, while also charting Hercule’s burgeoning friendship with Captain Arthur Hastings, his early encounters with Scotland Yard’s James Japp, and introducing him to one particular nemesis… Filming begins this summer.

  1. Edward Bluemel is new Hercule Poirot, sadly...why? Is he a bad actor?

    1. He is talentless and has zero screen presence and charisma, makes you fall asleep as soon as you see him, I see the reactions around the net on him in this role are pessimistic.

  2. I've seen several films based on Agatha Christie's books. I prefer the books and films in which Miss Marple solves the crimes.

    1. I prefer Poirot but not with this bland actor LOL My fave Poirot was Peter Ustinov.

  3. I don't think I am familiar with anything this actor has done. If so, it was not memorable. He has an odd look about him, but I can't place what I just don't like. I think the same about that Anya Taylor Joy lady. Something about her appearance doesn't sit well with me.

    1. He has a bit space between the eyes, but looks aside, he is a terribly boring actor.
