MONARCH OF THE GLEN
TV SERIES RE-IMAGINING AT CHANNEL 5
Beside The Hardacres and All Creatures Great And Small, it seems we are getting another warm new show at Channel 5 as later this year they will start shooting a new TV series re-imagining of classic series MONARCH OF THE GLEN from Jeremy Brock! When high-flying London lawyer Isla Campbell finds herself back at her family's crumbling Highland estate for her estranged father's funeral, she expects to be gone in days. Instead, she
discovers she has inherited a million-pound debt, a bank closing in, and a brother who refuses to let go of their ancestral home. Under the same roof for the first time in years, brother and sister will have to find a way to save the struggling estate before time runs out and they lose it for good. The show will transport us to the stunning Scottish Highlands each week while introducing a rich ensemble of unforgettable new characters. This six part family saga promises heart, humour and romance – bound together by breathtaking landscapes, roaring hearths, and the people who call this wild corner of the world home.

Una favola d’ombra e potere, dove ogni sguardo pesa più di una corona.

Buon primo maggio, Silvia
DeleteLet’s see how they present it in Spain and what title they give it. But judging by the beautiful image of the castle you’ve shared, it’s already a treat I’ll definitely unwrap if I come across it.
ReplyDeleteSadly, it is not a picture from the series, just an illustration I have chosen as we do not have any photos now, but the old series was set in a manor, hope this one will be too, I am sure the classic series aired in Espagna as well. It was such a beloved classic for the Brits.
DeletePlenty of British series in the last few months...I hope the quality won't suffer from over production.
ReplyDeleteHappy May, Dezzy!
It is interesting that Channel 5 will now have four of the leading heartwarming shows and all returning ones - Forsytes, All Creatures, Hardacres, and this one.
