DeleteWow. What a nightmare that would be. I was on a cruise, and the first night during rough seas a woman fell down the stairs and hit her head. They determined she had to be airlifted off, so the ship turned around and met a coast guard helicopter. There wasn't room for her poor husband, so he had to remain on the ship for 6 days until we reached Hawaii and he could fly back home to be with her. Being so far away while his loved one was suffering must have been excruciating.
