According to Variety, M Content and Irish Vico Films will produce together a historical epic series THE PATRICIOS. Created and written by Amaya Muruzábal, this series based on true facts is set in 1846 and follows the Saint Patrick’s Battalion during the U.S.–Mexico War, when a group of
Irish immigrants enlisted in the Texas Rangers deserted the U.S. army to join the Mexican side. They fought until their final stand at San Ángel, when they were captured and sentenced to death. Julian de Tavira who helmed Hernan and Like Water for Chocolate will be directing.

DeleteJulian de Tavira, my only qualm. There is a tV film on the San Patricios called "One Man's Hero"with Tom Berenger and Daniela Romo.
