Although not one of the most famous of their historical figures, Andrey
was loved by the people and was proclaimed a saint later on.

THE SERIES IS SET IN 12TH CENTURY RUSSIA
It
was a period of the brutal internal struggle between the princes from
the family of Rurikovich. The young prince Andrey Bogolyubsky, the son
of
Yuri Dolgoruky and the grandson of Vladimir Monomakh, returns home from Byzantium, where he spent several years. His dream is to reign in
his
native Suzdal land, turning it into a new prosperous center of all
Russia. However, the powerful father of Andrey, experienced Yuri
Dolgoruky sees in
his son only a submissive performer of his will, and
the heir to the Grand Duke's throne decides to revolt - declares himself
an independent ruler. At
first, all his plans are quickly implemented:
the architects invited from Byzantium and Europe build white stone
churches, fortresses and even new
cities in the Suzdal principality,
strongholds and entire new cities, Orthodox religion is strengthening
and trade flourishes. But, becoming the most
powerful ruler of Russia,
Prince Andrey has also gained equally powerful enemies who weave around
him a web of betrayals, conspiracies and intrigues.

I really like the blue of his cape up there. You need to find a modern one in that color for this autumn. I think that color would look fantastic on you. Then again, it's so freaking hot this week, who wants to think about capes and cooler weather clothing right now? We've clocked temperatures hotter than Florida yesterday alone. It's miserable.
ReplyDeleteThere were jackets in that petroleum blue colour in Lidl a few years ago, my brother bought it for himself.
DeleteWe are also heading into a tropical week, should be close to 40C with night temps not going below 25 sadly.
Maybe he'll give you his jacket when he's done with it. (Wishful thinking, I'm sure).
DeleteI am sleeping so bad because of how hot my room is. I've slept downstairs in the living room a few nights last week. If it gets any worse, I'll be moving to the basement where it's the coolest part of the house. And we have central air, so it shouldn't be this bad! How's your air working in your house with these hellish temps?
I am double his size, and I don't fit in anything these days, I will soon have to just put medieval capes around me.
DeleteWhy don't you cool down the bedroom before sleeping, I turn it on 21C before sleep and then turn it of, open the windows and balconies and go to sleep till morning. We have had cold nights so far, so it was easier for me to cool down the halls and bathroom during the night, but with tropical nights coming it will soon be 30C inside as well and I will be moving around the house with a fan, sadly.
Because the air is forced through the whole house, not just room specific. Unless we buy a single unit air conditioner that goes in a window, but that wouldn't work because we have a sliding glass door in our room, no windows. So with the central air cooling the main floor and the upstairs, we just have to take what we can get. There's no way in hell we'd sleep with the windows open right now. Even our nights are hellish. I've been taking my dog for a walk at 11pm and still come home sweating from the muggy air. Be thankful for your cool nights so far!
DeleteSo you don't have the split air system, I thought AC was like heating, that you can set the temps you want in each room through a termostat or something. Here nobody has central AC we all have AC unites installed on our walls, not the portable window ones. They are usually enough for the whole flat or a smaller house if you open the doors, but not in my case because we have open staircase so the unit in my room cannot cool all that space even if I kept the doors open. I keep it always at 21C even during the day LOL I like it cool. Since the room is then cool and it gets around 20C outside as well at around midnight, I can open the balcony and window a crack at least and turn off the AC till next day.
DeleteUnfortunately, the one until doesn't regulate individual rooms. We we one temperature and it's *suppose* to cool each room to what we set it at, but it never works that way. The downstairs stays pretty consistent, but because heat rises, the upstairs is always hotter. My office and Allison's bedroom are right over the garage, so those two rooms are the worst, but the upstairs as a whole isn't pleasant. I'm about to buy one of those neck fans to attach to my shoulders to use when I have to be upstairs. I hope this summer passes quickly. I'm ready for autumn already.
DeleteThat is terrible, I thought central air conditioning was supposed to be better LOL but not only it uses more electricity which is impractical, it also does not give you the temp you want, how terrible. What is the average temp in your house then?
DeleteMy neck fan is terrible, be very careful to buy a good one and a strong one, mine lasts like twenty minutes LOL and you don't even feel it much.
Yeah, it is impractical that we can't adjust per room, so the unoccupied rooms are using up energy needlessly. We have the house set at 72 degrees (I believe that's around 22 C). What a pity you didn't get a good neck fan. I am doing a lot of research on Amazon right now. Not only does our flea market shop get hot, our dang air isn't working in our new storefront either and maintenance doesn't seem in a hurry to be fixing it any time soon. We have big fans blowing in there right now while we work, but we leave drenched in sweat every night. I'm starting to rethink my future plans to move south. Alaska is looking more appealing by the day.
DeleteHow is the shop going on? Is it a success or is it too early to tell? How are you coping with supplying both the shop and the stall?
DeleteOh, it's a real shit show. We are supposed to be open this coming Friday, but I still have to have the countertop installed, paint the whole thing, hang shelving and grid walls, clean the carpets, set up my tables and other display furniture, make the outdoor signs, and have my product all ready by then. It's just not going to happen, but I'll open with what we have done and apologize. Realistically, it won't be fully set up the way I want until August. I have 3 other vendors adding their product in, so that will help fill the space that I am lacking on product myself. I told Jason we never should have pushed for a summer opening. We should have worked on it in January/February when business is slow, but he's always go, go, go and makes the worst decisions. I could seriously kill him right now and think the jury would be sympathetic to the bullshit I've dealt with from him this year.
DeletePlease don't have a breakdown in the process LOL Will be sending you positive thoughts even though we are busy with revolution here. We do expect photos from the opening.
DeleteI like that guy with the long hair on the white horse. He'd look good on the cover of one of the books I read. lol
ReplyDeleteThat is their blond god Aleksandr Golubev.
DeleteParece genial , me gustaría verla. te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteGlad that tu gustaria it.
