MISS AUSTEN RETURNS
A FOLLOW UP TO MISS AUSTEN TV SERIES

The same team will do the follow up |
BBC and
PBS are set to do a follow up series to their
Miss Austen titled
MISS AUSTEN RETURNS based on
Gill Hornby's
The Elopement novel.
Keeley Hawes will probably return as Cassandra, Jane's sister in the true story that happens later on from Miss Austen, around the 1820s, and within a wing of the family that involves Cassandra, as Deadline writes. But the past-tense years that the series will focus on will be ones that were highly creative for Jane when her novels were actually being published. Cassandra is carrying the flame in the present-tense part, and rather than burning letters and looking after Jane’s privacy as in the first series, this will be about an interpretation of Jane’s meaning and value.
Il ritorno di Miss Austen è un tuffo elegante nel passato, tra ironia sottile e struggente malinconia.

Hope it will be more interesting than Miss Austen which was terribly boring and poorly done.
DeleteI've never read a Jane Austen book or watched a movie from it. I have some friends that love this genre but maybe I should give it a shot some time.
ReplyDeleteAll of her books are godawful and I say that as an English literature teacher LOL
