Russia in February 2025 is historical musical movie PROPHET: THE STORY OF ALEXANDER PUSHKIN (Пророк. История Александра Пушкина) in which the role of the legendary poet in different years of his life is played by Yura Borisov in older age and Kai Goetz in
youth. While we wait for the February 14th premiere, you can check out

WHO IS IN THE CAST?
The cast of the movie directed by Felix Umarov also includes French actor Florian Desbiendras as Georges Dantes, Ilya Vinogorsky as Ivan
Pushchin, Anna Chipovskaya in the role of Countess Elizaveta Vorontsova, Ilya Lyubimov as Vasily Zhukovsky, Evgeny Schwartz as his imperial
highness Emperor Nicholas I of Russia and Sergei Gilev as Alexander Benckendorff. The film will be titled The Poet for the international release.


I do enjoy some musicals, but I not sure that I want to watch PUSHKIN in musical. We are now watching Singing in the rain again :-))

DeleteNow that looks great! I really hope that someone here picks it up, though I won't hold my breath. I'll have to find if I can pirate it somewhere.
ReplyDeleteIt is possible it will appear on Yifi at some point, they sometimes do post Ruskies, they even had our Serbian hit film last week.
