THE ROAD TRIP SERIES
FIRST LOOK AT LAURIE DAVIDSON
Paramount Plus has released a trailer and first images from their new mini series THE ROAD TRIP which will be available in UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia December 26th with our dearest Laurie Davidson in the lead role. It is based on a Beth O'Leary best selling book.
THE SERIES FOLLOWS
Addie (Emma Appleton) and her sister Deb on a road trip to a friend’s wedding in Spain. When they are forced to offer a ride in their camper van to Addie’s ex Dylan, his irrepressible best friend Marcus (David Jonsson) and complete stranger Rodney (Angus Imrie), the group must confront their buried history as secrets and revelations cause many a bump in the road. Cutting between the past and present, flashbacks revisit Addie and Dylan’s intoxicating love affair two years earlier, which started as a heady holiday romance. The journey to the wedding then proves to be an unforgettable ride as everyone in the van has one question on their lips – what exactly was the real reason behind Addie and Dylan’s breakup?

While I tend to like a good romantic view occasionally, this one I'll probably skip. Just wasn't feeling it in the clip.
ReplyDeleteYes, too bad cause I would do anything for Laurie Davidson, but even he cannot attract me to watch this. Terrible casting of female lead.
DeleteI just couldn't put my finger on what was bothering me about this trailer. Probably didn't like the female lead, but the whole thing just felt.. idk. Trying too hard? Forced? There just wasn't anything special about it.
DeleteThey don't know whether they want to be funny, romantic, mysterious, plus the horrid girls in it, that is the new trend of putting girls without talent and looks and charisma in lead roles.
