FIRST THE RETURN TRAILER
WITH RALPH FIENNES AND JULIETTE BINOCHE
We have first trailer from new retelling of Odysseus and his story with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche in THE RETURN
movie which is out December 6th. After 20 years away, Odysseus
(Fiennes) washes up on the shores
of Ithaca, haggard and unrecognizable. The King has finally returned
home but much has changed in his kingdom since he left to fight in the
Trojan war.His beloved wife Penelope (Binoche)
is now a prisoner in her own home, hounded by her many ambitious
suitors to choose a new husband, a new king. Their son Telemachus (Charlie Plummer), who
has grown up fatherless, is facing death at the hands of the suitors who
see him as an obstacle in their relentless pursuit of Penelope and the
kingdom. Marwan Kenzari plays Antinous, the lead
suitor for the hand of Penelope. Uberto Pasolino directed the movie. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think, I wasn't overly impressed, sadly.
The movie is out in cinemas this December |
Juliette Binoche hasn't change much, but Ralph Fiennes is almost unrecognizable. Wonder how many percent of his body fat...
ReplyDeleteHe lost a lot of weight playing a shipwrecked hero far away from home. And he is over 60 methinks.
DeleteHi, I read about this movie and I will definitely watch it. Ralph is having a good run, soon I'm going to the cinema to see "Conclave", and now I have just returned from the Polish film "Simona Kossak". Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteConclave should be an interesting one, it is based on a book, so you can read that one as well.
DeleteI think the trailer was a bit slow. Like you, not overly impressed but may still give it a watch. Ralph really is very thin here.
ReplyDeleteIt is very cheap looking visually, more artsy than epic.
