CLIVE OWEN AND ALEX PETTYFER TO LEAD KRISTALLNACHT WW2 SET HISTORICAL THRILLER MOVIE

  KRISTALLNACHT THRILLER
CASTS CLIVE OWEN AND ALEX PETTYFER
Set on the brink of World War II in Berlin, the true story of historical thriller KRISTALLNACHT unfolds in a city turned into a powder keg after the assassination of a German attaché in Paris, which is wrongfully branded a “Jewish terrorist attack” by Nazi propaganda. Alex Pettyfer will play Kai Lehmann, a young and impressionable police officer, who, alongside his superior Lieutenant Krützfeld, played by Clive Owen, navigates the turbulent streets of Berlin as citizens turn violently against the perceived “enemy within,” descending on Jewish neighborhoods. Stefan Ruzovitzky is directing KRISTALLNACHT about the Night of Broken Glass, when thousands of Jewish shops, businesses and synagogues were destroyed by the Nazis in November 1938.

  1. It seemed like Alex Pettyfer was really active in films and then just wasn't. Nice to see him back.

    1. He had some problems with a few mega stars who bullied him out of Hollywood out of their own vanity.

  2. I have watched a few movies from Clive Owen, but can't remember a single one right now..this one can be interesting, but we have watched lots of World War II movies and series...so the expectation could be high.

    1. He played King Arthur in the historical movie if you remember, but was never really made into a massive star, similar thing happened to Sam Worthington later on as well.

    2. Oh he had his golden moment. He got tons of awards and accolades for Gosford Park and Closer. Although my favorite role was as Sir Walter Raleigh in Elizabeth. In 2012 he moved to TV, got Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for playing Hemingway in an HBO miniseries, them he ha his own series, The Knick, and last year he had a limited miniseries Monsieur Spade in AMC.

    3. Ah, yes, I forgot Sir Raleigh, although I did watch it recently again, he was very magnetic in it. All of those darling Brits from the late 90s and early 00s never reached their full zenith sadly, but that is because the new generations are ungrateful cunts and have not respectfully accepted the mature actors like we did in our youth. Now instead of them ruling Hollywood you have the talentless likes of Chalamet, Pough, Driver, Austen Butler etc.

    4. I've just had a look on Wikipedia about Clive Owen. He played one of the important parts in an adaptation of the Mary Webb novel Precious Bane on the BBC in 1988. I saw that. He seems to have had regular work on TV and the stage in the late 1980s - early 1990s.

    1. Channing Tatum and the co thought he was full of himself because he would not hang out with them at the set while they were shooting a movie, but he says he was just very shy because he was a nobody and they were megastars. Poor babykins...

    2. I swear, adults act like children. It's like the high school bullying never ends. Ridiculous.

    3. It is terrible but it does give you a perspective on how other people may see you if you are a shy and timid person. Alex even lost roles because apparently Tatum and his gang used their influence after the said movie to bully him out of Hollywood, and he was just their awestruck timid and scaredy fan.
