Not all men, mind you, but some defo do. Most men develop bellies and bags under eyes and no silver hair can cover that up. I cannot get rid of the bags, I don't have a lot of wrinkles, but I do have bags under eyes from too much work.
I don't have bags, but I do get very dark under eye circles that even concealer won't cover fully. I'm ok with a dad bod belly. Makes me feel like I don't have to be quite so toned either LOL
Just had blood work done and it all came back fine, even the liver. My problem is lack of sleep and too much damn stress. Some days I wish Jason would just go back to work and I can go back to selling my stuff as a hobby. I can see why most small businesses fail within the first 5 years because it's certainly not easy. Quitting would be much easier, but working for the man sucks, so we trudge along exhausted every day.
You just need some help, deary, some girl to work with you a few hours a day at least on the tasks you can leave to others, or are you not in the situation to pay them benefits? We do everything illegally here LOL so I am not versed with your situation over there. Or you should hire Allyson for some pocketmoney. At some point maybe Jason should stay with you and you hire a salesman to sell your goods, or you stop doing markets and fairs and work directly for the shops.
Unfortunately, good help is so hard to find since Covid. I've tried out a few people and it just didn't work. I pay Jason's sister cash to sand my spoons for me and she's been reliable, but she's been the only one. I don't even count on Allison anymore because she's very invested in her last 2 years of college, I can't make her work for me when I need her to graduate and be ready to move out into the real world. I make way more money at the fairs and festivals than I do in the shops. Like 500x better. My stuff is so unique, the response and impulse purchases in new areas is what keeps us going. I have a new spoon shipment coming in next month and I will start putting designs on those and sending them to Amazon so we can start the transition to more online, less in person sales. The goal is to be mostly online and only doing select events by next summer. With that though will come my ideas getting ripped off not only from other laser engravers, but Temu will probably start ripping me off too. They are already doing it to a lot of small business Etsy crafters so we also have to take that into consideration on how it will hit our business when we make that move.
You need to put copyright on them, but I imagine that costs a small fortune. If you grow bigger, you will probably turn into a small factory and will need workers, the best way, if you cannot find them, is to educate them yourself.
China doesn't give a feck about copyright. Temu ran a multimillion dollar ad during superbowl and used copyrighted artwork from a small biz artist I follow on Facebook. Imagine her surprise when her art popped up on screen as she was watching the game! All of their images are swiped from Etsy and other online sellers, then they replicate their product and sell it at rock bottom prices. Not only can we not compete with their pricing, but we'd have to have millions of dollars to pay lawyers to even fight them. So all we can do is encourage people not to shop on their website. Sadly, people love cheap shit and don't care about small business or artists if they can save a few dollars buying from China over us, so we'll see more and more independent artists fall off the global online sales market unfortunately.

ReplyDeleteYes, it is interesting that when he was younger I did not find him attractive, but now I think he is gorgeous.
DeleteOh, he’s definitely a silver fox now! Men are lucky as they tend to look so much better as they age!
