SEE SPECTACULAR TRAILER FOR LEE TAMAHORI'S 1830'S NEW ZEALAND SET EPIC MOVIE THE CONVERT WITH GUY PEARCE

     THE CONVERT MOVIE
TRAILER WITH GUY PEARCE
The Convert is out next April in cinemas
Coming from celebrated director Lee Tamahori with Guy Pearce as the lead star we have a spectacular trailer for their new historical epic movie THE CONVERT which has the story set in early 19th century New Zealand.

  IN THE FILM
Australian star Guy Pearce plays Thomas Munro, a lay preacher who arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand. His violent past is soon drawn into question and his faith put to the test, as he finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody war between Māori tribes. It speaks of the early contact between Europeans and Maori, when European settlers were outnumbered by several hundred to one and Māori had just acquired muskets. Tamahori and Pearce have been planning to work together for nearly twenty years now. Jacqueline McKenzie, Antonio Te Maioha, Te Kohe Tuhaka, Dean O'Gorman also star in the film out next April in Australia.

  1. Guy Pearce...I know the name, but simply can't remember any film he played or lead that I have watched before...the trailer is not bad.

    1. I think I watched him in millions of films, but it is true that he does not have one big role that would be the trade mark of his career.

  2. This one doesn't look half bad. I never thought of it before, but you and Angie are right. I know Guy Pearce, but can't pinpoint any stand out roles. It's like Neal McDonough. Such a recognizable guy, but couldn't tell you much about any of his characters he's played in the past.

    1. His most famous role is probably Memento but I hated that film myself.
