Amazing the amount of period pieces Russia makes. I got to see Janissary with Spanish subtitles so with patience, one gets to them. They still beat the crap of the fugly western period drama crammed with presentisms.

Normally I'd skip a musical, but I bet I'd like this one. You've got me interested in all the Russian works lately.
