SEE FIRST IMAGES FROM SPANISH WORLD WAR II SET ESPIONAGE HISTORICAL SERIES OPERATION ENGLISH QUARTER

 OPERATION ENGLISH QUARTER
FIRST WW2 TV SERIES IMAGES
Continuing our travels around the world while your trusted spy is the first one to inform you about the upcoming historical series and movies from around the world, after Germany, Austria, Serbia, Italy, France and Russia, we are now back in Spain again with first images from their new historical series OPERATION ENGLISH QUARTER (Operación Barrio Inglés). The eight episode series, being shot for Spanish Broadcaster TVE stars Aria Bedmar in the role of Lucía, who, after being hired as a secretary for a British mining corporation, meets Peter (Peter Vives), her manager, an Englishman with a shadowy past who will pressure the 25-year-old to choose one gang or another. Yan Tual, Ruben Cortada, Almagro San Miguel also star. Spies, Nazis, British and a risky love story set in Huelva in 1940, a city where the conflicts of World War II are reproduced, on a smaller scale, are all part of this new series. Germans wanted to control what happens in strategical enclave Huelva and its English owned mines which provided Britain with mineral for weapons and artillery.

  2. Five years ago, I would have been doing a happy dance, but after Dr. García's fiasco, I dread Spanish-made WWII espionage yarns.

    1. I think they, the producers, deem Garcia a success as they sold it to Netflix, but I have not watched it as you said it was crap and I cannot digest the lead actress. I started Shadow and Bone season 2 on Monday and might erase it as it is pure poop, and will probably start Warrior on Thursday as I ditched Daisy Jones and the Six.

  3. We have watched a few of Spanish tv series before, and they were surprisingly good. But If it ain't on Netflix, then we wouldn't have a chance...
