  1. So beautiful! Was it shot in Greek? A detective becomes a cabaret singer...this should be a fun one to watch.

    1. No idea where they shot it but I am looking forward to seeing Shayne Ward again, I still love his timeless hits NO PROMISES, STAND BY ME and BREATHLESS.

  2. Now this one does look fun. I’ll be honest and admit I have no clue who Shayne Ward is, so I’m off to Apple Music to have a listen to his hits.

    1. He was a huge pop star in UK in the early 2000s, I quite loved him, especially the songs I mentioned above. They are all time classics now. The times when music was clean and nice.

    2. He does have a nice pop voice. I can see why he was a hit in the UK back then. It's a shame he wasn't high profile here. I like his music. He should have fit right in with the boy bands or male singers from that time here.

    3. He was such a dreamy boy back then with those eyes of his. Those were probably the best years in music when Timba and Justin were also making hits. Huge nostalgia. I was listening to a list of current hits at YOuTube the other day and was shocked with how mediocre the music has become, there were songs from Styles, Taylor and Lizo, and they all sounded the same to me, no melody, no beats, just boring music and nothing special when it comes to lyrics. I don't get it.

    4. I cannot stand Lizzo. Or Ariana Grande. Out of all of the mediocre music today, I have no clue why those two are as popular as they are. I cringe every time and skip the song when I hear them come on.

    5. That is the case with me and Swift, I just do not get how she became such a massive star. Looks mediocre, has no style, writes bad song, is immoral and mean, uses her boyfriends, has no melodies and is as charismatic as a mop, and yet she sold 70 million in presales of her new new tour movie. The same goes for Styles, zero talent and as radiant as a warm cucumber with songs which grate on my nerves with how mediocre and monotononus they are.

    6. Honestly, I don’t mind Swift anymore. She doesn’t have a powerful voice, but she does write songs that resonate with her fan base and I feel like she’s very appreciative of her fans. She’s been so charitable in every city she’s toured through this summer, giving large sums of monies to food banks and organizations that help the communities, not to mention in our failing economy, her concerts have helped prop up the local businesses in the cities she’s in. I was really impressed with how well she took care of her road crew with their bonuses. Wasn’t it something like $50 million total she gave away from her own earnings in bonuses across her whole team? Have we ever heard of another artist being so generous? Aren’t JayZ and Beyoncé billionaires and not once have I heard about the good they do, but we do hear about the lavish shit they blow money on for themselves. I have a newfound appreciation for her after reading so many good things about her this year. I kind of find it sad that she writes what she knows/has lived through, which aids in her music writing and gets labeled as a villain for doing so. Isn’t the rule of thumb to write what you know? She doesn’t mention names, yet we have the likes of Justin Timberlake sharing intimate details of his relationship with Britney Spears against her wishes and he’s some kind of hero? The double standards between sexes shine bright in comparison of these situations. I do hope she continues with her charity across her European tour. She’ll be making her way back here next summer and I think Allison is wanting to go, though I’m not too thrilled thinking about dealing with the crowds to take her.

Harry Styles on the other hand, I have never understood the hype. A warm cumber is describing him too nicely, methinks. Allison is obsessed with him and I’m like, why!? I’ve tried watching several of his movies but his acting is dreadful. He might have one or two songs I find catchy, but the rest is garbage imo. I do like that Zayne kid from One Direction though. Figured he was the smartest of the lot to break away from the group when he did.

    7. Oooh, I'd actually say the double standards go the other way around because you are so ready to hold a grudge against Timberlake, who is one of the very few male singers to just say to a bad girlfriend in his song to fuck off, deserverdly, yet, when women sing about it, and sing they do all the time, they are empowering or something. Meanwhile, Timberlake did not base his very rich career filled with timeless hits unlike Taylor's with such songs, while she absolutely did and is still doing it. If you would not want a man to kiss and tell, don't do it yourself either, she is a terrible role model to girls, because she is toxic, vile and vindictive and is always enticing her fans to attack her enemies. Her whole fandom is utterly poisonous an dangerous as they follow her like a magnet and take her words as a mantra. The good things she does seem like a witch trying to cover up her smelly tracks.

  3. No, I hold a grudge because for years he has indeed built his career off belittling women and even his own band mates. The song was whatever. All singers do it because that's how they put their art out there, singing from their experiences. It was going on a radio show and giving intimate details of his relationship with Spears for the promise of more airplay for his album if he shared those details. He whored her out for airplay, plain and simple. If that's not advancing your career off the back of belittling a woman, idk what is. She's batshit crazy, but that was wrong on his part. He took no accountability for the Janet Jackson scandal for years, throwing her under the bus too. He's pleased to sit back and watch the downfall of women he's partnered with as long he his star keeps shining. Accounts from other female celebs paint him as a misogynistic twat. He's been a jerk to his nsync band mates, criticizing their work after he left them high and dry, only reuniting when it helps him keep his name in the press in a good light. Otherwise he doesn't give a flip about them. He doesn't care who he steps on as long as he ego stays inflated. He's a mediocre singer at best and a horrid actor. He can dance, or used to be able to, and that's about all he has going for him, imo. I think he's famous because the masses were told he should be famous, like a Kardashian, but with a pea sized amount more talent than them.
As for Swift, I don't know much about her personal life. I did do a Google search and it seems that she's still on good terms with most of her exes, so if they aren't mad about her lyrics, then nobody else should be either. Aside from her feud with Katie Perry, which I believe is water under the bridge, I did see she recently asked her fans to not attack anyone online over old songs before the release of one of her albums. I'm simply giving the girl credit where credit is due. Her generosity and charitable gifts and how she treats her employees seems unmatched amongst her peers. She's been good to her fans, making them feel appreciated. Unlike other celebs like Doja Cat who tells her fans "I don't love you. I don't know you." That's probably why her fans feel protective of her and while she'll still dominate the charts for years to come. I'm no feminist by any means, but men have belittled women for years in songs and have been applauded for it. Women do it and it's seen as a problem. I don't get it, but I guess that's where we'll all see the situation differently.
