NEW FRANZ KAFKA SERIES
SETS LEAD CAST AT ARD AND ORF
German national broadcaster ARD and the Austrian one ORF are teaming up on new Franz Kafka mini TV series titled simply KAFKA. The new six parter should arrive next year when June 2024 marks the hundred years since his death. Based on the three part Kafka biography by Reiner
Stach, the series follows Kafka’s (Joel Basman) difficult relationship with his father (Nicholas Ofczarek) and his love affairs with Felice Bauer, Milena Jesenská (Liv Lisa Fries) and Dora Diamant, but also his close friendship with Max Brod (Daniel Bruhl).

Motti Wolkenbruch playing Kafka? That I have to see. And I like the rest of the cast Liv Lisa as Milena and Bruhl as Brod.
ReplyDeleteWho ist Motti Wolkenbruch, deary? Bruhl seems to be the only German actor they put in every possible international show of theirs. Meine lieblings Louis Hofmann might steal his spotlight finally after All The Light We Cannot See airs this jahre.
DeleteBruhl even got an American tv show, The Alienist. Now, Shatz, Motti is the lead character (played by Joel Basman) in the Swiss comedy The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch. My brother got me the Doerr novel, but Meine Liebe Freund, I don’t care if All the Light comes this Jahre or next one. I ‘m not crazy about it.
