care home in order to go back to Normandy, where 70 years earlier he had

ReplyDeleteHe is very old these days, I remember seeing paparazzi photos with him with a stroller and his wife Shakira going out for dinner. He barely walks.

DeleteI believe that the two men in the film were fighting against each other all those years ago. They tensed up when the one said he was a German soldier, then they held hands and let all of that animosity for the "enemy" go. I think those who fight have a hard time letting go of the us vs them mentality. There's a lady that sells candy at the fall and spring events I go to and she will not sell to anyone wearing a turban or hijab. She fought in Desert Storm and still sees anyone that comes from the Middle East as an enemy. So, I've dubbed her Racist Kelly. Maybe I should tell her to watch this movie so she can learn a thing or two.
DeleteHow vile of her, I mean it was she who went to their desert to invade it and kill them, not the other way around, what a vile bitch. On the other hand, I cannot stand hijabs either, not because it is Muslim, but because I cannot tolerate anything so demeaning in our modern world.
DeleteHonestly, I don't see a problem with women wearing them IF they want to. Some do like that it keeps them modest. It's the ones that are fighting for their right to not have to wear them and getting stoned for it that I take issue with. Same with backwards thinking that women are unclean during their time of the month and are forced to endure in "period huts" instead of in the comfort of their own home. Even in this modern world, no woman has complete control over her own body.
