Sharon Horgan and Michael Sheen play married couple Nicci and Andrew, they have two daughters: Katie and Marnie who has a life-threatening condition. 1. It's a decision I would never want to have to make, but I believe that I would follow the advice of the medical professionals if they said it was time. Living in pain or knowing that your quality of life will never get better, one should not have to live like that. I understand that many parents hold on to the hope and have wishful thinking that their child will pull through, but sometimes I think parents let them suffer longer than necessary for selfish reasons.

    1. It is such a difficult one, we have seen so many people who have come out of death even though doctors said they were lost. Just remember how many women were told by the doctors to abort because they will give birth to a monster and they got healthy kids in the end.... don't know whom to trust, but I sure do not trust doctors from my experience....

    2. I agree with you, we have seen that many times. But there has to come a point where you have to accept reality. Not that I'm comparing my dogs to my children, but my girl boxer was paralyzed for a year and a half. She still had good quality of life, but I had everyone asking me why I didn't just put her down. Cause old girl isn't in pain and she's still freakin' happy! I knew that when it was time, I would just know. Same with my male boxer. The vet was telling me he didn't have much time left, maybe we should say goodbye that day, but I knew that I would know when it was time. 4 days later, it was time. I knew I would have always wondered if we could have saved either if I had jumped the gun. However, I think when it's your kid, you're more inclined to be in denial about recovery.

    3. Yes, it is not the same with dogs who live about ten years or so and people who can live up to a hundred.

    4. But when the scans are showing no brain activity whatsoever, leaving your child in a state like that is pure selfishness, I believe. The case of Terri Schiavo comes to mind. Hubby wanted feeding tubes removed and parents fought him every step of the way. Jason would know better than anyone else on this planet, my mom included, on my wishes. Her parents should not have let her live in that state as long as they did.

    5. There were examples of people who were proclaimed dead plants and yet suddenly woke up and recovered, so you never know. I guess it also depends on whether the parents are religious.

  2. I for sure have watched a few of tv series from Michael Sheen, but right now I just can't name even just one.

    1. He has let himself go lately, looks about twenty years older than he is. He used to be married to Kate Beckinsale back in the days.

    1. Not if you read the plot and I am assuming you have not.
