  1. it looks pretty good, just hope they go easy on the mexican subject otherwise they'll have a fiasco like in "Penny Dreadful: City of Angels", and I wish they could find a prettier latina to play Mason's love interest. That Lupe Gibbs is so ..fugly!

  3. Looks like I can finally start catching back up on The Last Kingdom. I'll have to start all over again as it seems like I've already forgotten what happened in the first two seasons that I watched so many years ago.

    1. It has always been the same / he saves them / they betray him / he saves them again / lots of people die / we drool over Sitrick and Finan.

    3. It is like that till the end, he even wants to forgive that cunt Brida in the final episode even though she killed half of his daughter's village and cut off his young son's balls. In the end his daughter, who knows he will try to forgive Brida, comes and shoots the bitch with an arrow. He just never learns.

  4. I'm a bit of a sucker for stories with a historical theme (there are exceptions, I'm not so struck on the work of the lady writer who thinks the public at large don't know Ann Boleyn had a sister). The late Raymond Burr will always be Perry Mason to me (says she showing that she's an old trout) but of course he isn't here these days.

    1. Is that the one that died recently? I did not like The Other Boleyn Sister movie, atrocious casting, minus Eric Bana who is always brilliant.

    2. Not the late Hilary Mantel. I was thinking of Philippa Gregory whose work(s) isn't/are not my cuppa.

    3. I always mix those two up, I think I have a book on Catherine of Aragon from Gregory, but I am not sure if it is hers. My publisher does Mantel in my country, but sadly they never gave her to me for translation, I usually get fat three part sagas and such stuff.
