VERA FARMIGA IS BATTLING THE AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE KATRINA IN FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL TV SERIES TRAILER ARRIVING THIS SUMMER
FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL
FIRST TV SERIES TRAILER
The series starts August 12th on Apple
Apple TV Plus streamer has released the first trailer for their limited eight episode series FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL which will debut globally on Friday, August 12 with the first three episodes, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through September 16. Based on actual events and adapted from the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink, “Five Days at Memorial” chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. When the floodwaters rose, power failed and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come. With Vera Farmiga as Dr. Anna Pou, the cast also includes Cornelius Smith Jr. and Cherry Jones in the series executive produced by Emmy Award winner Carlton Cuse. Check out the trailer below:
Such a devastating but preventable disaster. If only they would have stayed on top of inspecting the levy's this wouldn't have happened. I love NOLA and have often thought about putting it on the list of places I'd like to relocate in the future, but I do think about the hell the people went through back then, on top of their politics today, it's a pass for me. Though the people are really very lovely there.
We also had those terrible floods some five or six years ago in Obrenovac when the whole town was flooded thanks to Danube rising and damns being opened and the mayor of the city, who was pretty much responsible for so many deaths then, has now become an advisor to the mayor of Belgrade. Crime pays off here.
It's insane, isn't it? I don't think it's just there though. I mean, look at the Clinton's and Bush's and Biden's and all of the other criminals. Goes to show that crime pays everywhere, sadly.

This looks like a good one...the trailer has already piqued my interest.
ReplyDeleteThe flood scenes are very realistic and scary too.
DeleteThis I would like to see. I don't remember many things on the news, especially in my younger years. I do very clearly remember this disaster.
ReplyDeleteI do not remember much from it, but we do currently have massive fires around Europe.
