WATCH TRAILERS FOR HISTORICAL ADVENTURE MOVIES KINGSLAYER WITH JOHN RHYS DAVIES AND STUART BRENNAN AS RICHARD THE LIONHEART, 'THE FOURTH MUSKETEER' WITH NEW D'ARTAGNAN

  KINGSLAYER MOVIE TRAILER
RICHARD THE LIONHEART
A legend will rise sometime this year
Two historical adventures from the indie circles for you today, starting with the trailer for a movie I mentioned once before: KINGSLAYER from director and writer Stuart Brennan should be out sometime this year! With his kingdom on the brink of chaos, Richard the Lionheart must decide what he fights for: his crown, or his love for a commoner. Days away from his coronation, a secret meeting with the woman he loves turns into a life and death fight for survival for the future King of England, Richard the Lionheart. Ambushed by hired mercenaries, and with the identity of the man who ordered his murder a mystery, Richard is left with no allies he can trust. Standing alone as civil war looms, the young prince is forced to face not only his enemies, but the harsh responsibilities of leadership. From BAFTA award winner Stuart Brennan, and Golden Globe winning producer Gareth Wiley, this impressive action epic, based on true historical events, features a high profile cast including John Rhys Davies, Carolina Carlsson, Ryan Gage and Ian Hanmore, with Stuart Brennan portraying Richard himself.

  THE FOURTH MUSKETEER
ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE
While we are waiting for the mega expensive French movie version of Dumas' story to appear on the big screens next year, you might be in the mood
The film is out on DVD in United Kingdom
to settle with a much (almost dramatically) cheaper version of THE FOURTH MUSKETEER, both written and directed by Steve Lawson. The movie is available in UK on DVD market. Matt Ingram Jones plays D'Artagnan, Mollie Hindle is Milady with the most ridiculous make up ever (probably did it herself) and Ade Dimberline is Athos. Sean Cronin is Rochefort. At the behest of his father, young d'Artagnan travels from rural Gascony to Paris, where he becomes embroiled in a devious plot between the King's Musketeers and the Guardsmen of Cardinal Richelieu.

  3. Kingslayer for me as well. I like the dreamy photos you posted for that one. I also hope that means he fought for love.

    1. I remember that according to some sources, Dicky had hots for the French dauphin LOL There was that amazing mini series LION OF ENGLAND in which Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close played their parents, and Richard had a flingy fling with the French prince played by very young Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
