HISTORICAL MINI SERIES
ON 19TH CENTURY WOMEN WHO CHANGED COURSE OF HISTORY
As Cineuropa reports, Italian Mompracem and Picomedia, French firm Thalie Images and Germany’s Beta Film will develop a TV miniseries looking back at women in the 19th century who played a leading role in
Countess of Castiglione will be the first heroine of the series
changing the course of history in Italy and Europe. The project will open a story about Virginia Oldoini, the ambitious and fierce COUNTESS OF CASTIGLIONE, an Italian patriot and fascinating spy sent to the court of Napoleon III in Paris, a ruthless and beautiful woman who shattered the court of Napoleon III with her charm and strength.
I suppose it's time for me to go catch up on the other seasons now that this one is about to wrap it all up. Idk who Brida is as I haven't gotten that far in, but good god her voice grated my nerves in the trailer.
She is one of the most annoying characters ever, you want to drive a sword through her fugly face in every scene she is in. And a horrid actress as well.
I have never heard of her before, so this is my first time hearing about her, but she sounds very interesting and judging from her photos, which she has a lot, a rather crazy and unique lady LOL
I’m into queens and royal mistresses because they were the power women of their days. Oldoini was instrumental (in the bedroom) to convince Napoleon III to support the Unification of Italy. She also slept with the first king of Italy, so you can say she was quite patriotic. She was an influencer in the fields of politics, fashion, and photography.
Unfortunately, I am not a historical fan. We just finished Netflix The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window...it's quite entertaining.
I have read a number of positive comments on it so far, I might check it out sometime during summer when there is shortage of watching materials as I really love Tom Riley who loved our support at the very beginning of his career. A lovely chap and a cutie pie too.
