  2. I'm not crazy about Ukranian series. Just saw Saga and found it dreadfully tedious, but like Jax said "those dresses". I see it's a very POlish production. That also makes it atractive to me. By the way, sorry but I'm loving Maria Theresa's first episode, despite the wigs!

    1. I have mostly made this post to show ya all the dresses and the gowns LOL I wanted to put a few more pics but they could not fit the length of the post, sadly, but you get the gist of it in the trailer and if you listen to Zlata Ognevichs songs for the movie over at YouTube you will see even more gorgeous scenes in her video.
Glad you are enjoying Resie :) I found half fun, half silly, half boring but certainly watchable.

    2. It's half silly because it never happened. No historicity at all. It's a Disney fairytale, very much like "Victoria". Once you realize that, it gets to be fun.

    3. If you can tolerate the terrible acting performances LOL

    4. Unless the show is in English, Spanish, or Italian, I’m so into the subtitles that I miss the bad acting. Unless it is seriously bad, like in Madame K” where the characters were so sweet, that I forgave their lack of talent. I’ve noticed that Austrian actors tend to gesticulate more than the Germans. Karl Markovics playing Eugene of Savoy. I’ve seen him in The Counterfeiters, Babylon Berlin, Die Gustloff and as Goebbels in Lida Baarova. Aside from the first named, he always comes across as a ham!

    5. His surname sounds terribly like he has origins in my country.

  3. The dresses are incredible and worth watching for alone. I know they aren't for this time period, but I'd take one of those red dresses and wear it out for a night on the town on Valentine's Day. So, so pretty!
