  VERTINSKY TV SERIES
A SONGBIRD FROM RUSSIA
We are still in Europe, while Hollywood is sleeping. I really did not expect that the trailer for new Russian period set series VERTINSKY would be so good,
The series first streamed on Kion
but it is as you can see below. The incredible story of the Russian chansonier Alexander Vertinsky is airing in eight episodes on Russian national network after streaming on their Kion, on line cinema. The large scale project about the fate of the artist whose life and creativity were full of drama, as well as the XX century itself, is one of their most expensive series ever. The famous chansonier, his voice was listened to by both European monarchs and wounded soldiers of the two world wars. He experienced poverty and luxury, concerts in restaurants and big scenes, long emigration.

popular in Constantinople, Paris, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Harbin, Shanghai and Moscow. He was loved by beautiful women, he was applauded by royalty and thieves. He was a bohemian man, light and cheerful. However, this picture is primarily about his kindness. About the ability not to judge, but to sympathize with anyone. And for this fate gave him great success and late family happiness. "Vertinsky" is a story about how a songbird, an artist, a frivolous creature can live a life that arouses both envy and respect! He is played by Aleksei Filimonov.

    1. They always have them as a part of celebrating their national spirit and history, that is what I like about them, one of the very few countries that is holding strong against Western influence. It is also interesting that they have very strong reality programmes, but totally unlike West: in their latest reality, they sent two celebs, among them Julia Peresild (who played the princess in Golden Horde series) into space! Like for real, in a rocket, they landed back yesterday.

  3. This one looks lovely! The bohemian life is nice to fantasize about, but not so sure it would be the best way to live permanently.

    1. Defo not, unless you don't have any other worries in life and have army of servants to do earthly things for you.

    2. I couldn’t do it either. Jason would probably be fine with a bohemian lifestyle though.
