SEE THE STORY ABOUT THE 19TH CENTURY HEIRESS TO THE FAMOUS BUSINESS EMPIRE IN OTTILIE VON FABER CASTELL PERIOD SET MINI TV SERIES
OTTILIE VON FABER CASTELL
PERIOD SET TV SERIES
It has been such a slow week when it comes to finding new movie and television news for you, spylings, I guess it is that part of the summer when
Ottilie aired in Germany back in 2019
Hollywood goes into slumber, so I will entertain you with something a bit old today. Period set television series OTTILIE VON FABER CASTELL has already aired some time ago in Germany, Portugal and Italy (where it scored rather high viewing numbers over at RAI), but German network ZDF has now sold it to broadcasters around Europe and also to new streamer Globi that covers North America, so a lot of you will be able to see this story about a brilliant young woman navigating the pitfalls of 19th century business, family and forbidden love. Kristin Suckow, Martin Wuttke, and Johannes Zirner
Count Castel will not find much luck in love with Ottilie
star in the series about the heiress to world's most famous pen and office material production company. Check out the short trailer below.
OTTILIE VON FABER CASTELL
is set at the end of the 19th century in Germany, when a
16 year-old girl, Ottilie von Faber, inherits her grandfather’s global
manufacturing business. In this male dominated world, Ottilie uses all
her talent and knowledge to prove
Although rich as Midas, Ottilie cannot choose the one she loves
herself and steer the company to
greater success. She marries Count Castell and starts a family, but the
unconventional Ottilie finds herself deeply in love with someone else,
the dashing Philipp von Brand.
I wouldn't hope for much this summer LOL There is that Spanish period set series THE COOK OF CASTAMAR coming out this week on Netflix which I plan to watch and that is about it this month, sadly for me.
Is this FABER CASTELL the famous manufacturer of the office supplies? Or is it just a coincidence that this Faber Castell just shares the same name with this German business giant?
It says in the text, deary, that it is LOL She was Faber and then got married to count Castell and they joined their empires. I don't know what they dealt with at the beginnings, I imagine writing materials, especially the leather ones, but I'm not sure. There is wood behind her, I imagine that is for pens.
I kinda like German boringness LOL I could live in Germany if I spoke their language. They are very disciplined, punctual, hardworking, follow rules and very Christian too. I miss all those things in my own stupid country which is unruly, lazy, criminal, corrupt and totally Barbaric LOL
I've always liked the German people I've met, but I don't think I could live there. I much prefer the Irish way of life of leisure. Though I definitely want to visit Germany some day. I have a lot of places already on my list that I want to see there.
For sure! While there are plenty of grand castles all over Europe, I think there's something really magical about the German ones. The one I want to most visit is the Neuschwanstein Castle. It looks like it's straight from a fairy tale.
I don't follow Cotsworld, but I will, I do have a few cottage, garden and British pages and also some tea pages, but they all bore me, and I need some new ones, not necessarily from that genre. Even cooking pages have started to annoy me as they repeat themselves a lot and always cook everything with eggs and freaking cheese, plus some of them cooks have such nasty hands and nails, makes me puke. I generally need a Facebook revamp of my timeline.
I love the Costwold's cottages. They are so charming. They even show lots of lavender fields and pretty streams on those pages, which I adore.
I hear you on the facebook revamp. I've grown bored with a lot of what's popping up in my feed, too. Lots of the same crap over and over again. Though I did go through and like a lot of new European travel pages, animal rescue pages (the elephant one is my favorite - I believe it's called the Sheldon Trust Fund or something like that), and lots of castle pages. I need to go through and delete a lot of the older ones that no longer excite me.
Same. As soon as the political crap starts, I'm out. That's coming from the far left as well as the far right. I like pages to be entertained and learn something new. Not have "influencers" try to shape my opinion personally. I bet many of them regret it when they spout off "Unfollow MY page if you don't like my political opinions!" That always prompts me to unlike a page no matter what their beliefs are. If I want to hear politics, I'll follow news and political pages. Not cooking/travel/mommy blogs for that info LOL!
Yes, Trump shaming was all over cooking pages, not to mention Bored Panda and similar ones which have nothing to do with politicis, yet they all kept quiet when Obama was bombing and destroying half of the world.
I enjoyed the trailer, even though I was unable to understand what was beig said. The scenery, costumes, and energy of it made me think that it would be worth watching.
Pfft them rich peoples just don't understand the duty and obligation! If you have millions you will marry another millionaire if your papa says so and that is that, no discussion! That is the price you must pay for living in luxury.

It has been slow going. I haven't seen this one.
ReplyDeleteI hope there are some shows that come out soon that I like.

DeleteIdk, this one looks a bit boring to me. Hopefully better offerings are on the horizon.

DeleteGermany is probably the prettiest for tourists as it has all of them gorgeous castles and mountains.

DeleteNeuschwanstein Castle. It looks like it's straight from a fairy tale.
All of their castles are like fairy tale ones, I should send you a Facebook page with their castles. I follow it regularly.
DeleteI just joined. I'm already adding more stops that I want to make on a trip some day!
DeleteI sent you an invite for castles and Germany pages there. I have one for Ireland too, but you've already been LOL
DeleteAnd I've got all the Scotland pages too. I think we're both on Cotswold? Or at least the English cottage page, I can't remember LOL.

And the wokeness ruined oh so many pages over there. I don't know how many pages I deleted for their toxic feminism or blatant political agenda.

DeleteYeah, really not my cup of tea. 😏 Not into those period set movies & TV series. 🤷♂️
ReplyDeleteAll of the best hunks are usually in them period set pieces hiding behind tight suits and tights and codpieces and loincloths LOL
DeleteIsn't that a shame? 😛
DeleteTotal shame.

ReplyDeleteSadly, they don't have an English trailer.
DeleteLike Theresa, I was thinking it sounded boring, but then you mentioned the forbidden love. We do love a juicy, forbidden love story!
