SING 2 ANIMATED SEQUEL
TO REGAL YOU NEXT CHRISTMAS
Sing 2 is arriving this Christmas
This one is coming only this Christmas but we already have a new trailer and character posters as well: December 22nd, 2021, is bringing us SING 2 the sequel to the super popular 2016 animated adventure. The sequel was both written and directed by Garth Jennings who was behind the helm in the first one too which earned rather stunning $634 million in the cinemas around the world with its stellar voice cast and dazzling pop hits covered in it!
IN SING 2
Buster (Matthew McConaughey) and his cast have turned their theater into a local hit, but Buster has his
eyes on a bigger prize: Debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower
Theater in glamorous Redshore City.
But with no connections,
Bono is new cast addition as Calloway
Buster and his cast, including harried mother
pig Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), rocker porcupine Ash (Scarlett Johansson), earnest gorilla Johnny (Taron Egerton), shy elephant Meena (Tori Kelly) and, of course, porcine provocateur extraordinaire Gunter (Nick Kroll),
have to sneak their way into the world-famous Crystal Entertainment
offices, run by a ruthless mogul wolf named Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale).
In a desperate attempt to get his attention, Gunter spontaneously
pitches an outrageous idea that Buster quickly runs with, promising that
their new show will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway (Bono).
Problem is, Buster has never met Clay, an artist who shut himself away
from the world more than
Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson are Johnny and Ash
a decade ago after the loss of his wife
and hasn’t been seen since.
As Gunter helps Buster dream up an out-of-this-world theatrical
masterpiece, and the pressure (and sinister threats) from Mr. Crystal
mount, Buster embarks on a
Reese Witherspoon and Tori Kelly are Rosita and Meena
quest to find Clay and persuade him to return
to the stage. What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success becomes
an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most
broken heart.
Oh, alright. Yeah, now I see it's from 2016. I don't remember why I decided not to watch it... ๐ Maybe Pharrel or someone was in it & I was so over them. ๐คท♂️ Jennifer Hudson, for example. I do like Tori Kelly's vocals. ๐ต
Yeah, Scarlett Johanson is not my cup of tea. Same with Matthew McConaughey, Seth MacFarlane & the rest. I mean, who wants to hear them sing? I sure don't, lol! ๐ Honestly! The only one I like is Reese but, she obviously wasn't enough for me to check it out 5 years ago... or now. ๐

Didn't watch the first one... ๐ I do love me some Reese Witherspoon, though! ๐
ReplyDeleteIt was fun, lots of big pop hits in it.
DeleteI might've liked it, then. Pop genre is my style. ๐ต
DeleteIt was released back in the days when Gaga was still massive LOL

Cannot stand Jennifer Hudson, but she is not in it. Scarlett either.
DeleteA treat for animated movie fans!
ReplyDeleteKids will love it, but the first one was more for adults than kids.
DeleteJunior will be waiting for this story :)
ReplyDeleteHope he will enjoy it.
DeleteI don't watch a lot of animated movies but this looks fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is more for grown ups than kids, admittedly.
DeleteWe loved SING so we're all in on SING 2. Besides, I could listen to Matthew McConaughey's southern drawl all day..
ReplyDeleteI could listen to Taron Egertons singing all day long too.
DeleteI really liked the first one. I’ll be eagerly awaiting this one now! Come on winter!
ReplyDeleteHope cinemas will work properly till then.. not that I'm optimistic.
