  FINDING THE MOTHER TREE
JAKE GYLLENHAAL & AMY ADAMS TO PRODUCE ADAPTATION
Amy Adams will also take the lead role
And it certainly does sound like an interesting read: as Deadline reports, Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal will team up to produce the adaptation of FINDING THE MOTHER TREE just published memoirs of Suzanne Simard. Amy will also star as Simard, a world renowned scientist and ecologist who first discovered how trees communicate underground through an immense web of fungi. Some deem that her work has forever changed the way we look at trees.
FINDING THE MOTHER TREE follows Simard's unique journey as a mother, a former logger, and an iconoclastic scientist and reveals how trees, living side by side for hundreds of years, evolve and communicate. At the center of it all are Mother Trees: mysterious,
Jake Gyllenhaal will produce the adaptation together with Amy
powerful forces that connect and sustain all the life that surrounds them. While her revolutionary findings were initially dismissed and even ridiculed, they are now firmly supported by research and data. Knopf published the book last week in USA.

    1. I knew that plants emit certain chemicals when they think something will hurt them, like when you cut off their leaf.

  6. I remember reading a horror novel (might even have been Stephen King, but I just can't recall) where the trees communicated with each other and ended up killing anyone that they could who was outside. I'm sure they do have their own way of communicating. I just hope we don't push them too far and they get sick of our shit and end up killing us all LOL

    1. She was? I did not watch that one much, but I know it had the greatest hunks.

    2. Beautiful women and beautiful men. That's what's Charmed was. Actors with poor acting skills, but... good looks. Classic TV! 🤷‍♂️

She was, in one episode, yeah. Her part should be available on YouTube, I believe. 🙂

And now... She's far away from TV, a successful movie star, getting quite a few Oscar nominations! Soon, she's going to become an Academy Award-winning actress. 👏🏻

Just watched her new movie The Woman in the Window. It was first slated for release back in 2019., so... 2 years of waiting wasn't all that pleasant. 🙄 But I enjoyed it. Finally! Julianne Moore is starring too. 🧡

    3. I hope she does not turn into Glenn Close / amazing actress with dozens of nominations and no Oscar :( Yes, the net is swamped with bad reviews of Woman in the Window and Halston as well, today, sadly.

    4. Yeah, I've seen the negative reviews for Woman in the Window and I don't think it's all that bad, but at least they're still praising Mrs Adams while writing bad about the movie! 🤷‍♂️

    5. Noone can ever touch her acting.
