  1. I do love Mila Kunis! Whenever I see Glenn Close I think Cruella, but only because she played it so well.

    1. She hasn't played a wicked character in a long time, methinks, she now mostly plays burdened mothers and wives :)

  5. 4 Good Days, one my mom should watch. It ain't easy raising a daughter addicted to drugs. I'm sure my mom will feel that when Mila blames Glenn for her addiction. My sister has never taken ownership of her issues. It's always someone else's fault she has so many problems in life. They conveniently forget how we rip our own lives apart lives trying to save theirs. It's still our fault they live a life of hell.

    1. I'm somewhere in the middle. I do feel that parents are always responsible and that kids are either their award or burden to carry forever. But, watching Glenn's character, and my mother, and many other not overly enlightened mothers, I can understand how it is difficult for them to see things from the other perspective. This is why it is so utterly important not to fuck up your kids when they are very little. Because the fuckupedness can stay forever. I'm the case of this myself LOL

    2. While I agree that some parents can royally f up a kid, my sister and I were raised the exact same. She's always had a rebellious side to her, always trying to see how far she can push her limits with people. Being told no was taken as a challenge or a big "F You, I can do what I want and there's nothing you can do about it." For her, rules were meant to be broken. She was sneaking out of the house at 8 or 9 years old to wander the neighborhood past bedtime. Stealing, dating the bad boys, running away multiple times before she was 14 because she didn't feel she should have to follow house rules. I, on the other hand, am the exact opposite. I don't try to buck authority unnecessarily like she does. So, where some parents just suck, there are also some people who just suck and are destined for a life of crap because of their own decisions/actions in life. We can't blame every parent for every bad person. Some people were just born bad seeds.

    3. But the way she is also depends on when she was born, is she older or younger? How was your family's life in the first five years of her life? Me and the person who is supposed to be my brother were also raised in the same family but are totally different because he was the first child and his first five years were happy ones, while when I came they already lost the family energy and life's mojo so my first five years when your character is forming were totally different, I was massively neglected unlike him. While he got love, things and care as the first kid of the family, when I came they weren't excited about it anymore, so I got shit, and never developed self esteem thanks to that, while he has. And I suffered through his molesting me, on top of it all. If she came before you, she was probably jealous of the new child and mother's duty was to correct that and she probably hadn't as she was busy with life. You on the other hand were a marvelous mother because you had the opportunity to dedicate yourself fully to both of your kids.

    4. I can see your point there. She was a spoiled little shit until I came along. I think her issue always was that my parents divorce when she was 5. I suppose I didn't care then since I was a baby. Dad still spoiled the hell out of her and gave her everything she ever wanted while I had to work for everything I ever needed. I suppose that's where my parents, well my dad, failed. She had everything handed to her whereas I had to earn everything on my own.

I'm still really sorry you had such a shit childhood. Your brother sounds like a horrible person and I don't blame you for wanting to get the hell out of there asap. I hope you punch him in the nose on your way out the door. That's the least that he deserves for being a crappy person to you growing up.
