Christmas special picks the story back
up on Xmas Eve
It’s the day before Helen (
Rachel Shenton) and
Hugh’s (
Matthew Lewis) wedding, and James (
Nicholas Ralph) is still
heartbroken and trying to bury his pain. But Skeldale House is hosting
its annual Christmas party, and James

surprised when Helen asks if she can go with him to get away from all
the wedding gossip. Up at the Chapman’s James is faced with a puppy

descended trapping them high up in the Dales until morning. James calls
Skeldale and promises to get Helen back to Darrowby in time for the
wedding, meanwhile wondering if he will be able to suppress his true
feelings for her!
I am not familiar with All Creatures Great and Small, but it certainly sounds like there are a lot of interesting elements to the plot.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd love it, it starts over there from January on Masterpiece PBS.
DeleteWill have to tune in once I’ve wrapped up Durrells.
ReplyDeleteYou will really love it, it is equally cute and very cosy.
DeleteI really want to see this one!! Don't tell me if he gives in to his true feelings. That'll be half the fun. :) We've been watching lots of cheesy Hallmark specials here. While cooking Thanksgiving dinner, I finally watched the Dolly Parton holiday film that you posted about weeks ago. It was super, extra cheesy AND it still managed to make me cry at one scene.
ReplyDeleteI love the series, but I did not like the love element in it, I think the show did not need it, especially as she has a fiancรฉe. I might leave Dolly's flick for Christmas.
