It was first a movie, back in 2014, and now New Zealand has shot an eight episode fantasy series
THE DEAD LANDS which is currently seeking an international distribution. The series, which is not directly connected to the film of the same name and is instead an expansion of the world depicted in said film, is produced by GFC Films and stars
Te Kohe Tuhaka, Jordi Webber, newcomer
Darneen Christian, Vicky Haughton, Calvin Tuteao and

What's The Story Of The Show?
A unique new series, combining brilliant action adventure and
mythical Maori culture with stunning locations and more than a touch of
humour, has the story set in a mythical Aoteoroa New Zealand, in a time

Te Kohe Tuhaka), a
dishonoured warrior who dies, but whose ancestors in the afterlife send
him back to the world to find redemption and honour. But the world Waka

supernatural, as the spirits of the newly
dead now stalk the land and hunt the living. Waka and a young woman
named Mehe must find a way to repair their broken world.
I'm going to have to tell my daughter about this one. Strangely, she's really into zombies these days! When I tell her that one of the leads may be Maui's cousin, she'll totally be into it. :)

DeleteShe did watch a few seasons of The Walking Dead at one point, but one of her favorites right now is Zombies from the Disney channel. Even my 23 month old sings the songs!
DeleteDisney has a show on zombies? And then we wonder why the world is falling apart. It probably needs to and should.
DeleteI'm siting her in my infusion really wanting to watch the trailer, but forgot my headphones. I'll definitely check it out when I get home though. I'm always up for some goofy humor. The world needs more of that right now.

DeleteJust watched the trailer. Looks violent and a bit weird. Not my cuppa, but I'm sure it will gain a following.
DeleteThe infusions are the same, though this one really knocked me on my ass today. I came home and slept for 8 hours after it. Everything is still up in the air at the center because of Covid19. I was supposed to get my levels adjusted after the last one, but they've been short staffed so my level checks haven't gone through yet (after 8 weeks!) Still no word on when my next colonoscopy will be. They canceled the one in March and said they'd call back to reschedule when things died down, but nothing as of yet :(
It is the same here, they postpone everything, I've even heard that doctors are not allowed to do their sidejobs at private clinics either. Corona entered our local hospital last week, and the numbers have been growing in the country too because they opened the borders and are not requiring corona tests from strangers, idiots.
DeleteThat's awful! Our numbers are growing too because idiots want to go out and riot and loot and protest in large numbers or even just shop without wearing a mask. They aren't even checking temperatures at the clinic door anymore. And they wonder why nobody is taking this seriously. Open the borders and stop with the checks at the door and there's bound to be an increase in cases!
DeleteWe no longer wear masks in shops, but you do have an insane number of sick people over there, the number of death cases in your country is shocking but nobody seems to care much, after all looting is much more attractive and easier to manipulate with in media. We is probably all doomed.
DeleteOur stores all have large signs stating that masks are required, but I bet half the people going in these days don't wear them anymore and the stores aren't enforcing the policy. Not that we'll have many stores left to worry about it soon anyway. Between the looting and all of the stores that went out of business because of loss of revenue from the virus, we might as well start to learn the ways of the good old days, farming and making everything ourselves.
DeleteWe had to wear them at the height of the outbreak, but after three months everybody has grown tired of it, I don't mind people not wearing them here anymore, I mind it when somebody does not respect the one meter distance and breaths down my neck in the cash register line. You can do that only if you are a hot hunk ;)
DeleteYes, I've seen bloody bastards attacking that Walmart like beastly animals... made me boil with anger. And Hollywood catering to them criminals. I did tell you that you should buy a secluded fortress in the mountains not a house in a city.
Since we can't travel this year, we are thinking about taking a drive down to the mountains for a few days just to unwind. This has been a very difficult year and I think a little fresh air and nature will do a lot to restore our mental health. Maybe I can convince Jason to buy us a house while were there LOL!
DeleteYou positively must, it could be a life saviour! You could plant everything you like there in the fresh crisp mountain air and search the woods for shrooms and medicinal herbs, heck you could even grow your own cannabis over there with just bears and noone else to see you.
