    1. Yes, I feel the early poster was better than the new one which reminds us, both with the cast the setting and poster, of Guernsay Potato Peel Pie Book Club.

    1. I did wonder why there isn't a hot hunk in the cast and then it turned out Gugu is supposed to be the hunk in the film. I'm surprised they did not make her transgender, black plus lesbian simply isn't woke enough, methinks.

  3. I can't tell if I like the main character or hate her. She's very cynical, but I understand why with the small glimpses the trailer gave us of her struggles. Still, this feels like one I'd turn off before making it all the way through the end.

    1. I did not like her from the very start, especially as they made Gemma so unattractive in the film. And with Courtenay and Penelope, it kinda looks like a very generic cast we've seen in millions of WW2 coastal films from UK.

  4. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but if it was on, I'd clean with it in the background. Does that count?? lol
