Despite maintaining their innocence throughout, Ingram, his wife, and Whittock were convicted of "procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception". They were given two years suspended sentences and asked to pay £115,000 including legal fees.

  3. The level of cheating no longer surprises me when there is a lot of money involved. This also reminds me of the McDonald's Monopoly scandal from years ago. People will always try to find a way to rig the system when that kind of money is up for grabs.

    3. Funny how a major has no morals. Or maybe that is the main quality they look for in army staff in the west given how many invasions they lead around the world. There were so many of British and American officers who quit their jobs after bombing my country and realising how unethical and criminal it was.
