TO LEAD FRENCH CHILDREN DON'T THROW FOOD MOVIE
There's not a lot of casting news these days, my dear spylings, but here's at least one for you to somehow survive this week: as Deadline reports, Anne Hathaway will lead FRENCH CHILDREN DON'T THROW FOOD movie adaptation of Pamela Druckerman's biography for Studiocanal.  Druckerman’s autobiography follows her real life experience as a 35 year old American journalist in Paris contending with pregnancy and parenthood. Unlike her fellow Americans, Druckerman learns that pregnant French women aren’t purchasing every parenting bible known to man, nor are they obsessed about natural births or C-sections. As she tries to balance family life and her career, she looks to uncover why the French have such well-behaved children. However, it’s all a façade.

    'NORMAL PEOPLE' TRAILER
FOR NEW BBC AND HULU SERIES
Here's another suggestion on what to watch during the corona lockdown: although the plot and the cast do not sound overly exciting, the trailer itself
Normal People will air on BBC3 and Hulu
offers a rather human vibe and warmth which will obviously radiate throughout NORMAL PEOPLE, a new 12 part series which will air all its episodes from April 26th on BBC3 and then on Hulu from April 29th.It will also air on BBC1 as it is probably the last new series to air in a long time since most others have stopped mid production due to corona virus.

The story of Normal People TV Series follows Marianne (Daisy Edgar Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal), from different backgrounds but the same small town in Ireland, as they weave in and out of each other's romantic lives. The sporadic and complicated relationship of two friends and lovers starts in the late stages of their school education, and the story follows their lives through their

  1. I love Anne Hathaway from day one when I saw her in Princess Diaries as a young girl. Why can’t we adopt French principles and not worry about such things... years later and American women still judge me for having a csection and opting not to breastfeed.

    1. I didn't breast feed either. Thankfully, nobody every gave me crap about it. I probably would have gladly accepted a C-section if offered. My best friend still has nightmares about my natural birth (she was in the room for my youngest) LOL.

    2. What most women are surprised with is that women in other countries don't really take pregnancy vitamins, they just eat healthy. I wouldn't never like to push a human being through my organs so I'm glad I'm not a woman LOL I do, however, support, breastfeeding, as it gives your kid stronger immunity, those who weren't breastfed usually have all kinds of allergies and other problems later on, but I don't support breastfeeding in public just for the sake of the show.

    3. I felt like my body went through enough, those didn't need to become utters. Add that to my crazy work schedule and it just wouldn't have been fair to the baby. I didn't get any milk with my daughter, but with my son I did get milk and it freaked me the heck out.. Was it a selfish decision? Maybe, but both ways had serious downfalls.

    4. How can breastfeeding be not fair to the baby? I did not understand that part. I understand if a mother does not have milk, but in all other cases it is selfish as you're exposing your baby to risk in later life. Looks, comfort for the mother and everything else is less important. But I guess everybody has the right to choose. I do, however, understand the freakish nature of child birth and everything else that comes after it :)

    5. I meant unfair in the sense of my work schedule. I'm away from home for a minimum of a week at a time and as often as once or twice a month. My experience with my son and daughter were very different. I had terrible post partum depression with my son that took months to fully pass. Why is it a risk in later life? No one in my family has ever breastfed in any generation so I'm very unfamiliar with it. I was taken aback when the nurses tried to force it on me with my son. Because of my spinal fusion, I missed that part of my daughter's birth so it was an extra shock with my son.

    6. Well, allergies, illnesses, lower resistance and strength of immune system and resilience are usually found among kids who weren't breastfed. Babies get a lot of protection from their mother's milk. My brother was breastfed and has never had any health problems, while I wasn't breastfed and I've had problems throughout my childhood and life too, I was more sensitive towards allergies, flu, everything, while he wasn't. It also goes for animals, if a cub isn't fed with mother's milk it often dies quickly after birth, especially lambs...

  2. Of course, our library doesn't have the book. I'd like to read that before watching the movie. Maybe once it gets closer to the release date, they'll get off their butts and get a few copies ordered and on the shelves.

    1. Are they even working these days? Ours are closed together with pretty much everything else, they're even closing parts of the cities as some bastards did not respect ban on parks and they went walking and barbecuing near rivers and woods. Thanks to such idiots we might get 24h curfew very soon, if not this week then around Easter.

    2. No, they are not open until sometime in May. However, we have access to digital books to download so I just put them on ereader.

If the bastards here don't start listening, we'll have a curfew soon too. Our stores started limiting to 2 family members at a time (don't know why they don't just make it one!) because whole families are still making an outing of going to the grocers, kids, babies and all. Jason has picked up grocery duty here. He'll video call me once he's in the store so I can shop from my couch and tell him what I need as he goes up and down the aisles. I don't know why other families can't do this too. My friend in Singapore is being told by her government that they expect this not to slow down for another 1.5 years. People bitching about being inside for 1 month and not following orders is what is going to keep this dragging.

Allison snapped on her friends on social media because they are posting pics of the still hanging out. She's pissed she probably won't see her little Spaniard boyfriend again before he leaves in June, but neither of them are trying to put others at risk to hang out right now.

    3. Yes, don't go out, especially with your health, you should be on a very strict personal lockdown, avoiding even the handsome postmen (ours wear masks, though). I don't expect this will end any time soon either, if it ends like in China, it will start another wave like they're experiencing as of yesterday with the arrival of people from abroad to Vuhan. Our shops are more strict, we have lines in front of them, and they limit the number of people that can go in, in small shops it's just two or even one person in at a time. Our curfew might start this weekend, so I bought kiwi, carrots, green bananas, apples and other things that can keep for two weeks.

At least the Spaniard is safer there currently, given what has been going on in his fatherland.
Stay safe, deary, and keep me posted, I do worry constantly about you.
