NEW EPIC MINI SERIES
ON ARCTIC EXPLORER FREUCHEN
Here's a new period set series for us: as Deadline reports, Ben Berkowitz and Max Berkowitz have bought the book rights to the storied
life of Danish renaissance man Peter Freuchen (1886-1957) and will turn it into a mini series. Freuchen was a peg legged two meters tall Danish man who explored the Arctic, travelled to Africa and Siberia, battled the Nazis, won a game show, starred in the Oscar winning 1933 film Eskimo — and that was just a handful of his accomplishments. It will be a dark, funny, and deeply moving story, highlighting the complexities of a man who was always at odds with his surroundings, but never feared being the outsider. The Berkowitz Brothers and Freuchen’s grandson have done extensive research and secured the rights to several of Freuchen’s autobiographies detailing the story of a man who many said was ahead of his time.

DeleteWhat an interesting life he lived. Being that busy, how do you find the time to marry 3 different times!? No wonder why he divorced so much.
