Beside Arthurian Cursed, which we are eagerly awaiting, world's most popular streaming service Netflix is preparing another mediaeval series for us which I, if you remember, announced three years ago and now we finally have the first photos from it: THE LETTER FOR THE KING comes from Netflix Holland as it is the adaptation of a 1962 classic book from their writer Tonke Dragt which was a worldwide hit. 1. I wanna commit to liking this one, but it feels like it might be geared towards the teeny boppers? I'll reserve full judgement until I see the trailer though.

    1. I'm guessing it will be teensy as it is a children's book, hope it will be watchable though. I wonder if Turie is black in the book as well.

  2. I agree with Theresa that it looks like a show meant for teenagers. That aside, I really dislike that streaming services don't follow the ethics of TV. They should announce a show, release it in a reasonable time frame, release episodes on a scheduled weekly basis, and end/begin seasons on a schedule. These streaming services have me binge watching then waiting years for the next season and I really dislike it!

    1. Amazon usually releases episodes on a weekly schedule, Netflix not so much, but it is true that they don't have the usual yearly time cycle for releasing new seasons. I was just thinking about Last Kingdom which has started probably six years ago but has just three seasons because it always takes a year and a half for Netflix to release a new season and then it has just 8 episodes.
