DeleteI agree that we need to stop applauding women who use violence towards men in film. If the roles were reversed, everyone would be in an uproar.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Blue here. Women make great detectives. Just ask my girls how much they've gotten away with over the years. They even told Leah, don't think about doing anything wrong because my mom ALWAYS finds out LOL.

DeleteNot to mention the rape and sexual harassment of men, nobody talks about that.
DeleteAnother thing that bothers me is how everyone thinks it's funny to say that a girl's daddy is going to be waiting with a shotgun when a boy comes to pick his daughter up for a date. I know it's a "joke" but if I had a son, he'd steer clear of that crazy family. We treat every boy with respect that comes courting our girls because we expect them to treat our girls with respect as well.
DeleteOn a side note, I did tell Allison that if anyone ever hurt them, I would have no problem ripping out someone's throat. Put a hand on my child and you'll see there are no lengths I wouldn't go to for them. If I had a boy, the same would apply.
See, that is a great point as well, men are usually raised to expect to be molested and treated as animals, how many boys grow up listening to their mother saying you're clueless, you're clumsy etc. That often continues with their wives as well and nobody understands it is a type of psychological degradation.
