EPIC SAGA GETS BEN BARNES
Ben Barnes will lead the cast as the only star in it
If you are a faithful follower of your trusted spy, you already know that beside The Witcher, Cursed and The Last Airbender, Netflix is preparing another epic fantasy saga: SHADOW AND BONE based on Leigh Bardugo's Grisha novels and Six of Crows saga, and now they've revealed the rather unknown cast! Ben Barnes (as General Kirigan, the commander of a magical military elite) will lead the eight episode series together with Jessie Mei Li as the orphan soldier Alina Starkov from a world cleaved in two by a massive barrier of perpetual darkness, where unnatural creatures feast on human flesh, and where she uncovers a power that might finally unite her country. But as she struggles to hone her power, dangerous forces plot against her. Thugs, thieves, assassins and saints are at war now, and it will take more than magic to survive. Also in the cast are Amita Suman and Freddy Carter (as fellow gang members in a criminal underworld), Archie Renaux (as Malyen

  1. How fun and quirky does David Copperfield look!? I thought it would be a serious film, but I love the little humorous bits throughout the trailer.

  3. Eep! "Unnatural creatures that feast on human flesh". Is this going to be a twist on a zombie show or is this a different creature all together?

I was never a fan of Charles Dickens books, but the trailer is engaging.

    1. I like him because he is the only of the British classics that isn't pathetic or superficial.

  4. I don't remember the novel "David Copperfield" being a comedy. So the trailer for this film version makes me go hmmmm. And my gawd, that horrible haircut on Ben Whishaw! Gag!

    1. I don't either, Debs! I think the Italian director wanted to be unique, but it just looks weird, especially with all the multiracial agenda in that period setting.

    2. Colourblind casting does not bother me at all. Dev Patel is a good actor and deserves to play whatever roles are on offer.

    3. That is ignorant towards the writer and the period setting. That means that I can play the maharaja of India or that you can play the queen of Africa :) If you put a black man to play Zeus it also means that Alfie Alen can play Shaka Zulu.
