   THE STAND

Over at Showtime, they are also continuing with the casting for their epic sf series adaptation of HALO video game. Natascha McElhone has been set as the lead opposite Pablo Schreiber in the series that will depict an epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. McElhone will play both Dr. Catherine Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers and Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race. Bokeem Woodbine will play Soren-066, a morally complex privateer at the fringes of human civilization. Shabana Azmi will be Admiral Margaret Parangosky, the head of the Office of Naval Intelligence.
