Midway is on its way November worldwide
Roland Emmerich hasn't done a big scale war epic in a long time (this will be his first one after almost two decades and Patriot), but the first epic teaser trailer for his historical spectacle MIDWAY has been released today and it features a massively stellar cast led by Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Nick Jonas, Woody Harrelson, Mandy Moore, Ed Skrein, Alexander Ludwig, Dennis Quaid, Darren Criss, Aaron Eckhart, Tadanobu Asano and others in a film that will land into cinemas around the world this November!

THE STORY OF MIDWAY
centres on the Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific
Our favourite star Patrick Wilson plays Lieutenant Commander Edwin Layton
Theater during the Second World War. The $100 million worth film, based on the real-life events of this heroic feat, tells the story of the leaders and soldiers
Welsh superstar Luke Evans is Lieutenant Commander Wade McClusky
who used their instincts, fortitude and bravery to overcome the odds. Check out the epic teaser trailer below:

  1. Let's hope this war epic sparks the same interest as its 1976 predecessor with the "heavy artillery" of Charleston Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn , Robert Mitchum, and many others.

    1. I've heard about that one, but I've never seen it!

  2. Good Lord, there's a lot of big names in this one. Definitely putting this on the date night list since I know it's one Jason won't want to miss.

    1. Midway as a midway to dindins after the movie :)

    2. Or dindins before the movie so I don't load up on unhealthy movie snacks (which I am always guilty of doing!)

    3. I don't know why they even sell snacks at the movies, the crunching and smells probably ruin the film for everyone :(

    4. Because that's how the theaters here make their money. They don't get squat on the ticket sales, but depend on customers purchasing their overpriced snacks to keep them in business. Thankfully, the movie is loud enough to cover the sounds, unless you get stuck by some inconsiderate jackass who insists on making a lot of noise with the bags or whatnot. But, I actually do love the smell of movie theater popcorn. I think it adds to the experience of actually going out to see a movie.

    5. Unless somebody brings ribs and burgers to the theatre! I once sat behind two idiots who brought onion burgers into the three hour bus ride! I thought it was me stinking of sweat until I noticed the two sods eating burgers in a bus without windows!

    6. I would have had to have said something in that situation. Strong smells in spaces where one is trapped is a no-no. I bet you were miserable that whole ride!

    7. I'm almost always miserable during rides :) It is either somebody who eats burgers, or somebody who's moma made him fried eggs that morning stenching his clothes and he has to sit next to me, or some goose talking loudly over the phone all ride long... or somebody throws himself in front of the train and kills himself, or a tree falls in front of my train... or bombs.... it all happened...

    8. Good Lord! Maybe Uber next time? Do you have Uber yet in Serbia. I heard it's new to France and London, so we were quite lucky it was available while we were traveling there. My friend is going there this summer and was worried it wasn't available yet, but I had to reassure her it was.

    9. We don't, but you can't really travel with uber to another city :) We have taxies (expensive) and buses around the town (also expensive) but I don't them as my walk to the city is the only exercise I get.

    10. Our Ubers will take you to another city here, though I'm not sure about how they limit distance in other countries. My niece drives for them sometimes for a little extra pocket money here and there, which is a great side hustle for her, and ends up in Michigan sometimes. I think walking is good for you and it's wonderful you have so many places nearby to walk to. Our streets are always filled with traffic, if there aren't sidewalks, it's so dangerous. Hell, I'm always jittery when Jason takes his bike out since we hear of so many bicyclist deaths because people are such horrid drivers and don't watch out for those on foot or bike. Mayor Pete did put in quite a few bike lanes, but even still, Jason told me he almost got hit just last week but the motorist missed him and hit a parked car.

    11. He probably should not have told you :( Now you will die worrying!
We have sidewalks everywhere as we don't use cars as much as you do, it is just that our sidewalks are ruined. My route has no trees so in the summer I die walking half an hour to the city and half an hour back under the scorching sun with no shade anywhere. It ain't easy carrying bags for so long, but I must. I only wish we lived in a more paved, cleaner and shadier part of the city. I rarely use city bus as my part of the city has a bus only every 40 minutes.
