BETA FILM'S NEW EPIC TV SAGA!
Here's a new period set drama from one of our favourite producers Beta Film. They are currently producing EMPIRE OKTOBERFEST six part series about the fierce battle between two family breweries from 1900 Munich, starring Mišel Matičević, Martina Gedeck, Klaus Steinbacher and Mercedes Mueller.
THE STORY OF OKTOBERFEST
revolves around a young girl who falls in love with a poor brewer's son. Their feelings are against her father's wishes - a rich mobster, who has come to town to try and bully his way into the inner circle of Munich's brewery dynasties. Soon, blood is being shed and the young brewer has to fight desperately to protect his own family from his love's father.

BBC has revealed the first photo of Mackenzie Crook as scarecrow from two part mini series WORZEL GUMMIDGE which he is also directing.  It sees two young strangers, Susan and John, arrive in the village of
Mackenzie Crook both directs and portrays the lead character in the Christmas series
Scatterbrook, where they encounter Gummidge. Their world is sent spinning into confusion when they realize Gummidge comes to life. The only person more shocked is Worzel, when he discovers that the children are not in fact fellow scarecrows but humans.

  1. Munich's breweries are a perfect setting to a great drama. If the language spoken is german, then it will give the film the right autenthicity.
    (Oktoberfest, a two-week annual festival in Munich, is very famous and popular).

    1. I think he is a goodhearted scarecrow :) Mackenzie is probably uglier without the mask LOL, hope he isn't reading this :)

    3. Probably not any time soon, they've just started shooting and BBC usually gives us trailer a week before airing, posh bastards!
