If, after watching last year's Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, you feel nostalgic for some more legendary music, do not despair, later this month Elton John's biopic ROCKETMAN will land into theatres near you, from May 24th directed by Rhapsody's Dexter Fletcher! It is not exactly a biopic, Elton calls it a sort of a movie of fantasy stories based around his greatest hits but it does also describe how he started writing some of world's biggest ever hits and how he developed his unique image enjoying love and fun along the way.

ROCKET MAN
tells the story of Elton John's life, from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music, through his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin, as well as his struggles with depression, substance abuse, and acceptance of his sexual orientation. It is a musical fantasy about the fantastical human story of Elton John's breakthrough years.

As you know, British actor Taron Egerton has been chosen to portray Elton himself (Justin Timberlake was the original choice), with our favourite Scotsman Richard Madden portraying his manager and lover John Reid (who was played by Aidan Gillen in Bohemian Rhapsody), and Jamie Bell as famous lyricist Taupin. Bryce Dallas Howard plays Elton's mother Sheila, with whom he did not always have the best of relationships. Charlie Rowe, Tate Donovan, Steven Mackintosh, Gemma Jones also star.
