THE STORY OF WATERSHIP DOWN
adapted for the screen by Tom Bidwell, uses Richard Adams’ bestselling novel as its source to bring an innovative interpretation to the beloved classic. Set in the idyllic rural landscape of southern England, this tale of adventure, courage and survival follows a band of rabbits on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home. Led by a stout-hearted pair of brothers, they journey forth from their native Sandleford Warren through the harrowing trials posed by predators and adversaries, towards a promised land and a more perfect society.

  2. Rabbits are cute even when they fight for survival and there's hardships and violence.
This series could be educational; it may help kids dealing with their issues in the real world.

  4. Poop bunnies, indeed, but the trailer looked great. Doesn't look like it would be suitable for the younger set, but would be good for older children to view and learn from.

    1. the lil' ones would have nightmares from it, methinks. I remember watching Animal Farm when me was about 12 or 11 and it was not nice at all for kids. But then again, maybe kids should learn from the very start that life is cruel because it is a nasty surprise if they discover it later on in life. They raise us on fairy tales, but life is a constant succession of darkness and disappointments and fight.

    2. I prefer to let my kids be kids and hold onto having wonder and excitement about life for as long as possible. Allison actually believed in Santa up until last year, which shocked us all as most kids are a lot younger when they find out (we told Mariah when she was 9. Allison was almost 14!) I still think she thinks our Elf on the Shelf is real lol. There's plenty of time for them to be hit with life's ugliness, so I'll do whatever I can to let them hold onto their innocence for as long as possible. That doesn't mean they are naive to the struggles of the world, but I think if they have happy childhoods, they will pass on that happiness through additional charity work and "see a need, fill a need" mentality when they are adults.

    3. Your kids definitely had the happy childhood that you did not have, and I'm very proud of you for that as I think you succeeded in your life's goal. And that is especially significant when we know you and Jason had them very young when you were still kids yourselves. I just hope all your nephews grow up normal too, or as much normal as possible!
